Each time I play the game for around 10 minutes the game will randomly crash saying Planetside2.exe has stopped working does anyone know why its randomly crashing like this?

Lets take a look at your current system specifications to start a good basis for troubleshooting. Can you provide the following information?

That's the information I was looking for! I think I may be able to provide some clarity. PlanetSide 2 has a 4GB RAM minimum reuqirement - while you have 16GB of RAM installed into your machine, your 32-bit operating system is limiting you to about 3.5GB of it, which is definitely going to cause some problems when you try to play.

My best advice would be to upgrade to a 64-bit operating system so that you can fully utilize the amount of your installed RAM, which would allow you to play (provided your video card and processor are up to snuff as well). You can find out more about the requirements by clicking here.

I have 64 bit win7 and 8gigs of ram and am crashing frequently as well. Did these most recent threads pop up after the most recent patch or before? With the number of threads I've seen posted I would think it's more the game than the customer's machine.
