Ever since the update my game will not stop crashing. I'm able to log in but after 5-10 minutes of play my game will crash. This has happened every time that I get on to play. Is anyone else having this problem or am I the only one.
I too get random crashes, not quite as bad as the OP but still frequent enough, 7 crashes in about 5 hours of play. At least part of the crashes are related to bringing up a menu like accessing a terminal, viewing the map etc. Attached are two different errors I found in my event log, sorry for the Japanese in there but that's what my system is set to. I doubt it's related to the crashes, because I've been using that trick for some time now.
I keep getting the crash with vivoxsdk.dll, the game is unplayable for me as it crashes within 10 minutes.
Hello, I got the same situation. After updated new patch, my client always getting crash after 5 minutes when I join in the game.
Yep. I too am crashing regularly. I'd say once or twice an hour on top of the other patch issues like stuttering and fps drops.
As soon as I finished updating I logged into the character selecting screen and hit play and it started loading, got up to about 56% and crashed. I got the "Planetside 2 has stopped working" message window from Windows. That happens every time I try to log in to the game. Someone said that I should delete the user options file and that had no effect. I have ensured that Launcher was "Launch as Admin" and I also make the PS2.exe the same. I have verified the files through the launcher to no effect. The next thing I was going to try was to uninstall and re install. I have played this since Alpha Test and I haven't had an issue like this until today so I guess this is payback. I'd love to hear ideas on this if anyone has any better than uninstalling.
Phaetul - I have the same issue as you. Nothing helps... even a complete uninstall/reinstall of the game. Chat Support says that it will need to be fixed in a future hotfix... that means we can't play until they release a hotfix, or we get a new computer with different hardware.
