This is only happening with the Vanu Flare. Isn't effecting any other Vanu heavy weapon I have tried only this one. You can hear the bullet impacts though.
Just like the one other gun... crap whats it called.. shoots plasma balls, had it on sale... whatever that one was lol. But they fixed it.
The Lasher I think it is. I've only tried the Orion and all other default weapons Vani start with, all these are fine. Only happening for the Flare as far as i know.
Confirmed. The Flare has no sound for me as well. I did hear it work for a few seconds once though, then it stopped again.
