    Since when did I say that they would be constantly spamming loud shouts? I never said that. One thing you should never do is stretch someone else's post to better fit your needs, in order to make some kind of argument.

    Imagine that whenever an NC got a kill, he'd be more ecstatic. Instead of "enemy down", it'd be "AW YEAH, TAKE THAT". Multikills from a LMG would result in the HA being all like "BAMBAMBAM! Like FLIES!". Infiltrators wouldn't be as loud as Light Assaults, Light Assaults wouldn't be as loud as Medics or Engineers, and Medics and Engineers wouldn't be as loud as Heavy Assaults.


    That is an entirely f*cking different story combared to you saying that they'd just "constantly spam" loud phrases. Christ.

    Some diversity of unique weapons and traits would add some needed flavor. Making us all the same seems ridiculous at best. Nice post.

    Overall, i'd like to see:
    more interesting guns
    factional differences higher,
    bullet velocities increased,
    more terrain specific factors, "Snowy, Muddy, Sandy -50% mobility,traction and handling to all tanks except to the Magrider"
    less of the lazy and general ******** tank turning that we have now
    More varied terrain types
    faction specific ammos, HE Incendiary rounds, Shrapnel Rounds for the TR, Tracking rounds and Splash Rounds for the vanu, AP and Hollowpoints for the NC
    less recoil across the board,
    less bullet spread across the board,
    Less hipfire accuracy (Unless you are the terminator, hipfire doesn't exist for assault rifles in real life)
    increase vanguard acceleration speed, and top speed to 90kph but decrease hill climbing abilities to almost none
    decrease prowler speed to 55kph
    increase magrider turning capabilities as well as breaks and accuracy
    decrease vanguard turret turning speed,
    decrease prowler turret turning speed but not as much as the vanguard,
    increase vanguard damage and velocity,
    decrease rate of fire for the vanguard,
    increase rate of fire for the prowler,
    increase HE round damage spread for the prowler,
    decrease AP damage for the prowler,
    increase velocity for all rounds and all factions with AP having the highest.
    Increase TR ROF on guns,
    Decrease Tr bullet damage
    decrease NC ROF,
    increase NC damage output on guns,
    Have vanu weapons be in the lower mid end as far as rof and damage but with tracking weapons and ammo and better accuracy of the two as well as zero recoil and bullet drop

    I played all three factions, i'm not partial to any one faction because I play them all. I won't be renewing my membership or playing the game though once my membership expires unless they make the game less boring and vanilla.

    Ok, here it goes, what I think would be nice:

    TR Weapons: Like you said, up close and fast firing, you know what guns are like that? Bullpups. I think the TR need some bullpup rifles in the game. I mean seriously they'd match so well. Bullpups fire a lot of smaller rounds, very quickly, but is not as accurate as normal rifles (Like the M16). They also have plenty of awesome real life bullpup guns and prototypes to draw inspiration off. And it would get rid of some of the bland gun looks and clone weapons using a slightly tweaked skin off another gun.

    A MANA Anti Air Turret: a 360 auto cannon than has poor gun depression so it can only be used against infantry on near level ground and can't be placed inside buildings (but it can be placed on roofs, bridges, balconies.) It will have no shield leaving the user exposed to infantry fire (so that it can't be abused in cheeky spots as some kind of mega AI turret.) I would have done an anti air missile turret but decoy flares :p

    NC Shotgun: Take inspiration from the AA-12 and the Saiga. Remove the buckshot. Make it a 15 round magazine. Make slugs the basic ammo, make a cert for FRAG rounds! (Oh yeah! Explosive shotgun rounds, don't worry, they won't be TOO powerful, it will take like 3-4 shots to kill you, be a low velocity round, and have a good deal of recoil, but will have a small splash damage radius so that you can fire it into a crowd and soften up a few targets and give whoever it hits a bad day) This will make the NC shotgun less of a close range weapon, but still make it a closer range damage dealer alternative to the gauss weapons.

    Weapon skins based on the price: make some of the cheaper/starter weapons look cheap and rugged. Make it look like your adverse spam weapon that your faction is mass producing to supply its massive armies.
    NC: give some of the cheaper/starter weapons like the Warren and the Mercenary some Wooden Furniture. Make it look like a "Spared every possible expense" weapon with wooden handles, buttstocks, and handguards because the NC isn't like the empire, it's run by corporations looking to make money, they want to save every penny, so if you can make something out of wood instead of metal so be it. Save the better looking models for the more expensive weapons used by the elite for effectiveness. For the top weapons, make them look like something an elite rebel would have. Give some parts that have blatantly been ripped off TR weapons and crafted to fit your gun (while not giving the gun any TR traits of course) that make it look like you're gun has seen so much action you had to take parts from the weapons of your fallen enemy and forge replacement parts.
    TR: Give it some scuffs, scratches, and faded paint schemes. Make it look like a hand me down that the TR pick out of the stockpile, dusted off, and sent to you. They've had a long standing military tradition so they surely have some older weapons sitting somewhere in the event they need to supply a lot of troops fast. As for the more expensive weapons, make them flashy. Give it the bullet counter from "Aliens" and "Halo".
    VS: make cheaper weapons less advanced and more prototyped and flawed. Make the flashy parts flicker a bit as of the power source is somewhat unreliable, maybe a few obvious welding bulges, or nuts and bolts. Make the most expensive weapons look legit borderline alien technology! Give it a distinct HUUUUMM when reloading that sounds like you have the power of the sun running your gun, and make it sleek with no noticeable flaws.

    Can you imagine the feeling, as you see a bunch of massively-armored, war-machines with engines that loud coming over the horizon? And then they start raining down railgun fire on your vehicles and powerful HE shots if you poke your head out?

    It would be how the Vanguard is supposed to feel. Slow. Meaty. Dangerous. The Tankiest of the Tanks. It plays it by the book: Massive frontal armor, skimpy rear armor, and one single, massive gun.

    And now, a supplement to my faction calculus-based ideas.

    SO!

    The TERRAN SOVIET SOCIALIST REPUBLIC is is BALANCED faction. That means they got more straight-up, red blooded FIREPOWER than the EFFETE SPANDEX WEARING NEW AGE RETRO HIPPIES and more sneaky TACTICS than the XBOX HUGE CAPITALIST PIG-DOGS. Having dependable, all-around faction traits that aren't boring and bland goes a long way to helping this out, but let's say we need something more. What can we do perhaps to give them MORE VERSATILITY in line with their CONVENTIONAL, PROVEN, SHUT UP IT AIN'T BROKE SO WE DIDN'T FIX IT TACTICS of suppressive fire and maneuver? Something that'll perhaps give them the ability to CONTROL and LOCK DOWN their opposition?

    GIVE THEM FRICKIN' NAPALM, THAT'S WHAT!

    We're talking about incendiary GRENADES, incendiary ROCKETS, incendiary TANK ROUNDS, vehicle and MAX mounted FLAMETHROWERS (and I mean REAL flamethrowers that shoot streams of flaming, napalm flavored DEATH at people, not those cheap propane tanks that spew aerosol flames a few feet like WIMPS) that deal MASSIVE DAMAGE and leave behind HIGHLY INHOSPITABLE, PERSISTENT BARRIERS OF FLAMES that hurt people to walk through them, because they're made of FIRE.

    Is the NEW CONGLOMERATE getting you down over how much FREEDOM they have? Let's see how free they feel after you've surrounded them with 20 FOOT WALLS OF FIRE. Is the VANU SOVEREIGNTY prattling on about how they're such evolved, sophisticated beings you ape creatures can't possibly compare against? Well you know what they haven't evolved to be yet? FIREPROOF, THAT'S WHAT. Indiscriminate use of incendiary weaponry lets you LIMIT THE MOVEMENTS of enemy forces, basically the best suppressive fire there is short of SHOOTING IT WITH MORE BULLETS, and when you can LOCK DOWN THE COMPETITION with one of the most CONVENTIONAL, PROVEN WEAPONS in the history of mankind, why not save the bullets for SHOOTING THEM IN THE FACE?

    ALSO! Fire is RED! TR is RED! It's a SIGN!

    If the TR are getting napalm, then the NC absolutely positively MUST get thermite of some kind. And the VS can have some kind of arbitrarily advanced plasma thing that covers a wider area or something.

    Once upon a time in a game no to dissimilar to PS2

    There was 2 types of ammo for infantry guns

    Anti infantry (could in theory kill tanks but it took a hell of a lot longer especially when there was decimators to hand)
    Anti armor (could kill infantry but took longer, however it melted max units)

    Changing ammo took time except on 1 empire then it was instant at the cost of being inferior to some extant.

    Then there was the tanks that needed gunners to be effective (not going to happen but would be nice), yet the following was in existence

    NC, slow tank, lousy DPS, high alpha damage, high armor
    TR, medium tank speed, high DPS, low alpha damage, mid armor
    VS, high speed, low armor, medium DPS, medium alpha damage, oh it goes sideways

    Now its

    TR high tank speed, high DPS, mid armor
    NC low tank speed, medium DPS, high armor
    VS, low tank speed, low DPS, low armor, oh it goes sideways

    Hands up who know what the VS empire is meant to be good at (other than PPA spam, so hows the saron AI nerf coming along then?)

    On a less whiney front give us more tactics like draining bases dry, ie, need ants, give spec op teams generators to blow at tech plants/bio labs/amp stations thus denying tech to the enemy and shutting a base down completely no spawns no tech no nothing.

    Imagine pushing the enemy back to a bio farm except a spec ops blows its gens thus forcing the enemy to spawn at the biofarms satellite base and not at andvari/rashnu etc.

    The only way to improve the Vanu's mobility aspect is to create greater terrain variety and terrain status affects as well as reduce turret turn speed on tanks. I understand the Mag get's c-4'd less but the mobility aspect of their tank is not truly accented. I dislike the general reduction in traction they have now and would like to see individual terrain changes themselves.
