Since you successfully nerfed everything else into nothingness - will you finally adress the HA?

    Completely agree, the class is way too rewarding for the skill necessary. The shield and med kits allow you to win every duel pretty easily then heal up for the next one.

    Also the rocket launcher allows HAs to be way too versatile by being able to kill both tanks and maxes not to mention snipe infantry... The last part really bugs me. I tend to try to be smarter than my opponent and shot HAs right after they shot a rocket to a tank hoping to catch them off guard, but it's really a gamble. I often take a ******* rocket to the face of just simply get to die after he pops his shield then faceroll me with a high dps LMG.

    Honestly I don't know how to nerf them tough. I think reducing the AoE and infantry damage or RLs could work and deserves to be tested. But it wouldn't do everything. One other thing we could do is reduce the effectiveness of shields.

    Once upon a time my most-played class was a Light Assault, but then I began hunting Auraxium medals and started with the Heavy Assault. Now that I have everything except for the Lasher with an Auraxium medal, I've switched back to Light Assault, though I do use my Heavy Assault loadout to shoot down cocksure lolpodders with my Decimator because it feels oh so good.

    I have little problem killing Heavy Assaults from rooftops, or from dropping in behind them and filling them with holes (no shotgun cheese here). One thing I try to avoid doing is encountering one on their turf: on the ground, out in the open. That's oftentimes recipe for disaster, as it should be. The Heavy Assault's role is to be the primary infantry unit for each faction. They're the core of any fighting force. They should be strong, and they are, but hardly invincible.

    I don't often say this, but when I say it I mean it. I think you just need to learn to play a bit more carefully around Heavy Assaults.

    I am freetoplay user, i never cry for UP, i never ask for OP. I just say learn how to play your class, otherwise change game !

    No Class has been nerfed into oblivion though I won't be playing my Engineer much now that they turned AT mines into a practical joke.

    The HA IS overpowered though and does need 1-2 disincentives against it's huge raft of incentives or the game will gradually be all about HAs with a few token Medics and Engineers to keep them running.

    HA is the main class to play, aka frontline storm trooper class.. No-one says you have to come down from the highground as LA.. Only idiots do it.

    Then there's the shotgun..

    Anyways if they nerf at anyway the HA in regards to other classes making it super easy to kill with other classes who don't have shotgun, i'm changing class.. so is everyone else who's on my friend list and playes HA. We always drool at medics and LA's.. but we'r frontline, we need the tank.. I'd never rush a predictable corner ambush with a Nerfed HA. I'd just play either medic or LA so I don't have to be the one who get's insta popped.

    Playing Ha means you have to be first.. and that you have to use the routes what people know you will use and they will aim at those chokepoints from roofs or behind corners if they can't mine or fly..

    Not my problem if you can't kill a player who's route you know by just seeing what class he is.

    I agree. Anybody who considers k/d as a metric reflective of player skill in a game where exp/hour is the most relevant statistic is completely ********.

    I tend to agree. HA gets to be master of all trades, whilst the other classes get to be jack of just one. I'd really rather they rethink the entire system with some AV infantry class(es), AI specialists, damage sponges, glass cannons etc. Actually putting more thought into a squad than 8 HA, 3 Medics, 1 Engie vs 9 HA, 2 medics, 1 engie would be nice, as would 'Can I get 6 somethingotherthanHA to do *SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T INVOLVE JUMPING OVER A WALL*'...

    and I have no problems with killing HA, but still I think they need some kind of nerf, because they are good in too many areas.
    I think the best fix to HA is to make them choose if they want to use launchers or overshields

    TRAC-5 S. That's your problem right there!

    If you want to gun down HAs with LA, then you need to fly plenty and use the LC2/LC3. TRAC-5 S just lacks the TTK, its a useless carbine, get rid of it.

    I sure was afraid. Not that I thought it was irrelevant or something. Thanks for giving me the courage to link my player stats in every post I make from now on.

    Seriously, I have nothing to hide, and I'm also not ashamed. If I gave a rats **** about K/D I'd stay behind spawnroom shields, abuse vehicles and base towers or play HA like everyone else.

    You can put it in your signature, or have your character name in your signature. Since you changed your avatar to show your faction bias, I'm sure you can figure out how to create a forum signature.

    I did not go through them all but I would like to point out that of the top 10 players who killed you most recently there is 1 who plays more LA than anything else (by only a small margin as well) where most of the others spend significantly more time as HA or Engineer than any other class. Just because you were not killed by an LMG does not mean you were not killed by a HA either.

    Together, HA and Engineer make up around 57% of the players (according to API data from about a week ago). Engineers outscore some of the other classes by over 25%, HA outscore LAs and Infiltrators by over 15%.

    Idk if I would say HA or Engineer are OP (although I did have two certed Vanguards die to invisible infinite ammo turret rockets- and just saying that should tell you there is a problem there) but they certainly are overused and they do seem to earn more certs than other classes.

    I agree with the OP in that nerfing the LA when it was the second least played and second least scoring class was a little boneheaded.

    Idk, perhaps things will change with the changes to the AT mines, but engineers were more popular than HAs last week.

    I thank you for your continuing interest in my person, but would like to remind you that it has very little relevance to the topic.

    It's pretty much undeniable that the HA is #1 played, #1 anti inf, #1 anti vehicle and #1 anti max.
    As interesting as I may be to you guys, could you please get back to that?
