You know what i mean. The icon for item appears on screen and when trying to pickup, it can sometime takes multiple attempts. Collecting crossbow ammo is maybe the worst. The moment the icon appears while next to it, hitting triangle should be 100% no matter your angle. Also, something that is still terrible is the popup for items as you drive by camps or other open areas with loot. This is a quick paced game where delays can mean your death. This is something not mentioned and hope there is enough who agree on this matter and just forgot to mention it.
A lot of time their is ammo or some other object like medkits on top of what you are trying to pick up but you are maxed out so your are unable to get it. Drop your medkits and ammo or whatever is blocking you in a separate pile so you can pick up whatever is obstructing you. When we complain about small nuances like this it detracts attention from actual issues ie blue screens , etc
