I originally started EQ2 by mistake! My friends kept bugging me to join them in EverQuest. I went to Game Stop to pick up a copy and all they had was EverQuest 2. I asked the guy at the counter if this was EverQuest but with all the expansions in it. He said it was. So I bought the game, upgraded my video card and got started. I was sitting on the Isle of Refuge near the statue of Antonia Bayle when it started speaking. I was hooked. Then I just happened to look up and saw Luclin, all shattered and moving through the night sky... when my friends finally caught up with me, I told them that I was too deeply involved here, Qeynos needed me and I'd check out EverQuest "when I had the time" (still haven't really gotten around to checking it out, which I should.)
