Neither xp pots nor vitality pots, nor the orb of memories, apply the appropriate bonus xp to the Planes of Magic Signature line. Tested (cries) across ten toons. There is not an issue with tradeskill receiving the bonuses under the same circumstances. ETA There have been reports of glitches when veterans bonuses come into play, per CS. Still, these shouldn't conflict and should be fixed! Steps to reproduce: 1. Do PoM signature line at roughly level 107/108. 2. Have veteran bonuses. 3. Use an xp pot on one toon and don't use one on the other. 4. Turn in quest #3 (Innovation). 5. Obtain the same level (about 114) on both toons.
