Wizard Tree End-Lines No Longer Do Anything

The Wizard Tree End-lines no longer provide anything of value. This must be unintentional, as the end-lines for every other class improve and/or change the class in some way. We need some sort of change here.

    1. Iceshape and fireshape: These no longer provide any benefit since frigid gift and surge of ro just procs on hostile spell, and thus there is no benefit to getting an AA that changes your spells into heat/cold.

    2. Range: Wizards only need additional range for firestorm and fusion. But.. troubs spec into range for the group, and wizards already have other AA that can increase the range of firestorm and fusion. As such, you are already maxxed out on range without having to spec this end-line.

    3. Manaburn: Manaburn basically doesn't do any damage. You have to spend a very long time casting the spell just for it to do about the same amount of damage as ice comet. It takes all of your mana and recast is every 3 minutes or so, compared to ice comet which has a recast of 22.5 seconds in raid. Basically, using manaburn in raid at this point is nothing but a liability, as it doesn't provide even a slight increase in your dps.

The easiest fix would be to just change manaburn's damage output and/or cast speed. My suggestion is to go from 4 to 8 points of damage per point of mana consumed, and to change the cast speed to 1 second base. These quick two changes would make the wizard's end-lines actually do something important for the wizard without making them overpowered.

Bump for exposure. Wizards lives matter. Free manaburn.

Or... would appreciate dev input on why they will or won't do these 2 quick changes to manaburn.

@Daybreak - Any updates on this?

Right now, if both were given free reign to DPS and not worry about manaflows/curing, Illusionists would beat Wizards single target on DPS. The balance is off, and just a slight change to manaburn would help fix it.

To illustrate, below is a training dummy parse we did a few weeks ago. Group was Wiz, Necro, Troub, Illy, Illy #2. We buffed to mimic the way buffs are distributed in raid (Time Compression, Jcap, Synergism on Wizard), Necro & Illys with Synergism, but nothing else. The illusionists are doing just as much, if not more, against a fully buffed wizard.
