Not sure if the strike consolidation happened with launch or the last update as I haven't been playing my wizard much lately. Update notes only mentioned: Increased the base damage of Magma Chamber from 18.72 to 41.932. Yet it lost one of the damage strikes making the overall damage less than it should be to be considered an upgrade over Magma Chamber X. If the intent was to consolidate strikes then XI should at least be 35% better than X. This ability isn't supposed to have two damages on it. A quick glance at eq2wire shows that it only ever had one and that is what I recalled. I double checked the one I had and noticed it had the two damage points on it too meaning this is a bug. I can confirm though that it is not a visual bug and does hit for 2 times (4 if you count ability doublecast). But it still doesn't answer why the new spell is doing lower damage compared to the older one.
