US Server Locations

    Like a lot of people posting here I am starting back up again.

    My question is: Are all the US servers located in the same place or are there regional ones?

    I live in the Eastern time zone and am more interested in latency issues than server population, so does it matter which server I choose or are they all the same Latency wise?

    I would assume all US servers are located at SoE HQ, somewhere in PST timezone... California probably?

    You can always ping each server and compare the times:

    ping guk.everquest2.com

    Pinging lvseq2-01-01.everquest2.com [69.174.200.10] with 32 bytes of data:

    Reply from 69.174.200.10: bytes=32 time=91ms TTL=49
    Reply from 69.174.200.10: bytes=32 time=99ms TTL=49
    Reply from 69.174.200.10: bytes=32 time=92ms TTL=49
    Reply from 69.174.200.10: bytes=32 time=91ms TTL=49

    Ping statistics for 69.174.200.10:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
    Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 91ms, Maximum = 99ms, Average = 93ms
