    I was annoyed because my various predefined filters in the tradeskill window were all scrambled up, so I took the time to carefully restructure the filter file, eq2_recipe_filter.vdl, and uploaded it to EQ2Interface.com.

    The filters include, in order:

    • Apprentice Equipment (for your tradeskill apprentices)
    • Adornment & Tinkering Writs (from Londiar Inygad at your tradeskill headquarters)
    • Far Seas Mission Recipes (the weekly and group missions from Mara)
    • Shipwrecked (all the items you learn to craft doing the Shipwrecked! Timeline)
    • Adornments
    • Primordial Adornments
    • Purple Runes
    • War Runes
    • Green Adorns
    • Holiday: Brewday
    • Holiday: Bristlebane's Perfectly Serious
    • Holiday: Erollisi Gifts

    Nicely done. I've done similar things with mine over the years.

    It's sad this is necessary, though. We have requested time and time again that the recipe window be turned into something more like the broker advanced search window. We should be able to filter recipes quickly and easily based on the same sort of criteria; what sort of item, what slot, what tier, etc. I personally requested it one year at a Fan Faire/SOELive event, and I know many others have requested it over the years as well.

    Sig, I know I've thanked you before for this incredible filter, YET, I have to thank you tons again just for the Holiday filtering!
    You are fantastic and wonderful to do this work for the rest of us (somewhat crazy) tradeskillers.
    Gluehwein season is approaching, I'll brew up a batch for ya.

    I'm fixin' to upload an updated version. Because as you go along and craft, you keep finding things you failed to set within the filters :)

    Probably tomorrow.

    like everyone else, i've got lots of alts and was getting tired of searching for recipes to make for quests so i started making a Quests filter. it's not complete but has t1 to t4 and lvl 90 - 95. i used // for starting comments and eq2 doesn't mind them.

    Code:
    RecipeFilter
    {
        name = "Quests"

        filterItems =
        [
            RecipeFilterItem
            {
                name = "RecipeBook"

    Hi!
    I downloaded your .vdl file as per instructions, but my ts interface does not filter as displayed in your picture. I believe I am using the classic UI. Do I need to download a custom UI first? And, if so, which one do I look for?

    Been a REAL long time since I visited EQII Interface.

    Thanks,

    Puck

    The file goes in your main EQ2 installation folder. You know you are in the right place when you find the original copy, the one you are going to name with "backup" in it. You will have to restart the game for changes to take effect.

    Best tradeskill system of any MMO ever. Worst UI of any tradeskill system ever.

    I want the sorting options of the broker window to be incorporated into a new tradeskill window. Cant find nothin' with this system.

    The tradeskill window, just like everything else in the UI, is XML-based. You might take a look over on EQ2Interface.com and see if there's one you like better. If not, there's a forum for UI requests, and I'd suggest explaining exactly what kinds of sorts you want to do.

    My tradeskill recipe filter has been updated for Terrors of Thalumbra, and I added a bunch of stuff to further help being able to find just what you need from the drop-down. The filters include, in order:
    • Apprentice Equipment (for your tradeskill apprentices)
    • Adornment & Tinkering Writs (from Londiar Inygad at your tradeskill headquarters)
    • Far Seas Mission Recipes (the weekly and group missions from Mara and Isle of Refuge)
    • Shipwrecked (all the items you learn to craft doing the Shipwrecked! Timeline)
    • Thalumbra (everything needed for Thalumbra tradeskill quests)
    • Adornments

    what is Agnostic Mastercrafting (10-90)
  20. Sigrdrifa EQ2 Wiki Author

    People playing in the Agnostic dungeons get special armor and a kind of crafting shard. These Agnostic Recipes are used to improve the dropped armor. Here's a sample of some of the level 20 recipes.
