   a few years ago I helped someone who had a quest that part of included that old starter island we got to go through before going to our starter cities. Anyone know what the quest is / was and if it's still around?

   That was probably "Darathar's Flight" which is part of the "Deception" quest. It's part of the Prismatic weapon timeline:
