The next expansion needs changes to group content over all

For the next addon it would be easier to make things like Fervor Runes available to all players, why do such things only have to be visible to Raid players? That makes very little sense, why I want to explain briefly? There are new drivers or new players this year without necessary Fervor in Zones DPS make Potency and Critbonus alone is not enough to make a player if he has just 100% Fervor no DPS, because DPS is a multiplier and Scales with these values something must be made accessible to all normal players I dand Do not hide this idea well behind archieves or force players to end up where they have no time or inclination. There are other ways for Raid players to make their character Powerful. I hope the Daybreak changes in the near future and finally brings a class balance let alone the general system which changes Ascension Resolve Combart Mitigation these are all things that have broken the game let alone overburden some players, sometimes make small changes but big only problems. and before people come these things you can buy yes you can not but everyone is wanted to do that in real life there are more important things you can do with money and that comes first. An MMO is a story of fighting quests and much more you should be able to make your own things that make a toon even better without unlocking any tools or having any points as an archie say something that needs to be zoned means loot bar.

if you mean the Guk Rune i Know but you Need all zones and some can be solo, but Problem is for other Need a Group and all my Guild Players stop the Game and others dont interested any more run the Zones. I dont Need massive Fervor like a Raid Player but for a Heroic Player is nice to have around to 200 Fervor. What i mean personally stop Archievment thinks we dont Need it, let all the loot Comes from Zones most peeps are bored run the Addon atm, the loot Table is horrible. And sorry for some bad Rnglish Words or so, is not really my main language.

I don't mean Guk. Your previous post said that only raiders could get a fervor rune. There is a 55 fervor rune killing all the heroic bosses in Chaos Descending.

I would like one dumbed down zone to group and level in pugs where I could wear the freebie gear and still hold my own. I don't even need rewards besides grouping and experience. And I would love to not need the signature line to get in. I can't do them scripted mobs by myself and I really miss the actual fun in the game. I was making more characters for a while to play in agnostics for fun, but that's pretty much over. I am old school, I want tank and spank and I get enough questing from crafting lines.

That's one way to look at it, except it hopefully wouldn't be broken as hell. One of the things this game used to be great at was balancing solo, heroic, and raid content with reasonable accessibility to entry level heroic and raid content. SOE managed this with varying degrees of mostly success from KoS to DoV. What happened?

    Put Battlegrounds back in!
No special gear..just what you can get in game.

    YES ^

This so much this. The only BG that was worth doing back in the day was Klak'anon. The 6 v 6 was best way to do PvP. The only reward should be experience and status. Everyone needs status and there a plenty of ways to get status through crafting or grinding mobs. Personally I would rather grind my status in PvP than elsewhere.

Heroics are a lose-lose situation in all honesty.

    1. Nobody wants grinds, but nobody wants to be bored after a month.
    2. Put in enough BIS items to make many zones relevant - Raiders throw their toys out the pram that they can't get BIS raiding.
    3. Too few BIS Items - People just do the select zones, and then complain 3 months later.
    4. Expert zones - Provides upgrades, but people then complain a) too hard or b) too repetitive.

    IMO The way they need to make heroic content last longer, is to make them more fun. I'm sure there are plenty of ways they could come up with doing this. My view would be to have the normal heroic zones, and then Event versions which change each week. These event versions could include things like;
    • Mobs do 4x the damage but 1/2 the health - Glass Cannon mode.
    • Engaging in combat turns your feet to ice and you can only slide - Ice Floor Mode.
    • Mobs have 2x the social range - Tread Carefully Mode.
    • Timed zone runs - Race to the Finish Mode
You get the idea... something to make the zones feel fresh/different from their originals, adding something new at the same time. Keep the standard loot for these zones, but maybe increase chance of rarer items (Masters, Ancients etc. etc.).

I think it was LDON in everquest 1 that had group missions that varied daily and each zone map when you zoned in had mobs spawned in different locations, bonus named, different terain interactions, ect. something like this would be recieved very well imo. the missions give currency which was used to buy auguments ect, i loved it.

There are a lot of good ideas proposed here. I think if Daybreak focuses on one thing in the next xpac, it needs to be "how to have fun again." Tongue-in-cheek, the CD xpac made me think the game focus had changed from "EverQuest II" to "EverJob II." If you weren't putting in 4-5 hours a day/spending $100 dollar a week to buy stuff, it wasn't happening. And the catch up for returning players was monumental. See more players return, spend a week or two in CD, then quietly disappear.
I get you want to make money--if you're not in the business to turn a profit, then you won't be in for long. The flip side of the coin is, your product(s) have to be attractively priced enough to encourage people to part with their cash. I won't give the micro transaction logic again; I've posted it too many times as others have. If you can't grasp the principle, then you never will.
Also, as others have said, don't ignore the alts. While there are people who may play one or two characters and be happy, many of your current player base have far more alts than that. You are absolutely missing the boat (and the money train), to make playing alts virtually impossible with current game mechanics. You are making changes, but accelerate those changes where possible.
There's a lot on the plate--I get that. If you had two things to make a rule to abide by:
    1. Make the game fun--not a job. Make it easier to develop and get to the goal. Especially for returning players.
    2. Make alts easier to get involved in the game.
These become your mantra; all gaming decisions are measured against this yardstick; if the answer to doing something is "yes" to both these questions, proceed. If it doesn't, it goes on the shelf or back to development until it does.
    Best of luck!!

Yah, one T0 heroic starter heroic zone would be nice for transition to harder heroics..
Or make T1 heroics easier for casuals and keep T2 hard ( which is the point of it being T2)

Nice to have easier T1 Heroics so casual players can have fun in pick up groups or with their casual guild..

Well, "Fun" is relative to the player. One person's fun is another's grind. But making an intermediate step dungeon that readies new players/ groups for the Tiered dungeons would go a long way to retaining new & returning players (and alts)...and allow them some group fun too.

I'd like to see it stripped back to basics a tad. A LOT more story and lore involved. The thing that hooked me on this game from the day it launched was everything had some purpose or little story to it, which eventually tied in to the HQ's and later sig lines, and going into dungeons and why you even raided. Those early quests from Gnoll Slayer Keep and involving Blackburrow, those were awesome. There were story and plot based reasons to be going in there and investigating and clearing threats. Even simple little quests like helping Farmer Walcott kill the damn beatles to help save his farm.

The "Go kill 20 of these and 20 of those" quests were not the norm, they were there if you just felt like grinding. Or finding the Far Seas requests in chests, even that felt like a little bit of the story.
That's just drifted further and further away. Planes, you could tell there was a certain sense of epicness trying to be reached but outside of the sig line the story was extremely lacking. A 50k faction grind and each hub you chose was basically the same as the others. One faction didn't like the other ones and wanted you to investigate them and go around and steal pots and scrolls and kill pygmys and steal bird eggs. Not the most compelling things in the world.
CD has even less story driven motivation outside of the sig line. You pick up the dailies and weeklies, go into the same zones, kill the stuff, squeak out a couple more potency and resolve boosts, and do it again.
What's my toons motivation to keep going into Doomfire and just killing those same mobs every day?
Even it just being a hub where you pick a door is pretty unimaginative. "Hey guys, wanna go to the library and cash in our casino chips for some gear then go kill a blob of pus for a piece of gear we've gotten 20 times?"

And get some more voice over/voice actors. As time went on the world seemed to have become full of a bunch of mutes who speak only in bubbles. The early days were full of background talking, quest NPC's that spoke to you the entire questline etc. I think things like that are a big issue. The immersion has faded and been replaced with grinding.

An easy way to get raiders and casuals to want to run the Heroic zones again. Increase the Status reward from the daily/weekly quests if you could get say 200k status per daily and 1m for the weekly I bet you would see a lot more people looking to form groups to outfit alts and what not. This expansion put a heavy drain on the pool of status most of us have accumulated over the years.

I am going to be honest here...I too would love to see more voice actors..unfortunately you would be better off finding another game that has some than holding your breath they will ever spend that kind of money in development again.

    It just ain't gonna happen.
