    Good Day ROAD TRIPPERS!!!

Another day of expeditions in and around Naples!!! I just love this, I could go on forever but I think Schmet will poke me with a stick pretty soon!!! So lets get moving!!!

Our first stop today is the Lo Zoo di Napoli. This is the Naples Zoo. There are 409 different Animal species, 202 different plant species, 105 different exhibits, and 100,000 square meters for us to explore!!! Here is a link to their site:

    http://www.lozoodinapoli.com/#!/home

Now we are off to the Città della Scienza. This is the first Italian interactive science museum. We will be in this science center for a very long time as they have a very technologically advanced 3D planetarium!!!! We will be the only people in the science center as it is closed to the general public until September, I pulled a few strings!!! I recommend checking out all of the exhibit links on the webpage. Here is a link to their website:

    http://www.cittadellascienza.it/science-centre/

Next we are going to the Museo Civico Gaetano Filangeri. This is a small museum with civic artifacts and quite a few paintings. Here is a link to their website:

    https://filangierimuseo.it/en/

Off we go to the LAPIS Museum. This is underneath the Basilica della Pietrasanta. Here is a link to their website:

    http://www.lapismuseum.com/il-lapis-museum-riapre-con-un-percorso-sotterraneo-inedito/

Next we are heading over to the Cratere degli Astroni. This is a 2.5 square kilometer volcanic crater, 16 kilometers from the center of Naples. It is now a nature reserve, I have booked us a private guided tour, there is a visitors center and a Center of Environmental Education and trails. Lots of animals and such live in the crater. Here is a link:

    https://crateredegliastroni.org/other-languages/english/

Our next visit is to the Villa Floridiana. This is a former villa that is now a museum housing a collection of ceramic pieces. Here is a link to their website:

    http://www.polomusealecampania.beniculturali.it/index.php/il-museo

Next up is a stop at the Fontana delll'Immacolatella (o del Gigante). Here is a link to a tourist website:

    https://www.napolike.com/turismo/place/fontana-del-gigante-napoli/

YAY!!!! We are going to Edenlandia. This is the oldest amusement park in Europe, opening its gates in 1965!!!! We will be here a long while as well. 40,000 square meters of fun!!! They also have a food area with a full bar, a steakhouse, a restaurant that serves food from Amsterdam and more. I have purchased us an unlimited attraction card *passes out cards to everybody*, I have extras in case somebody loses theirs. Here is a link to their website:

    https://www.edenlandia.it/the-park/?lang=en

Cocktail hour is 6 pm and dinner is 7 pm at Edenlandia at the Old Wild West Steak House.

History should be embraced as a whole, the good, the bad, the ugly, but never destroyed. Everything was part of a time in history and shouldn't be destroyed because feelings and beliefs changed.
We had massive churches destruction in France, during the religious wars (catholic vs protestant) and another wave during the revolution, so many things destroyed. And it's the same thing with the current statues-toppling movement that affects us too. Destroying things won't change the past and even if one wants to erase and rewrite history, history is still history and nothing should ever be destroyed. Embrace your history, folks!
(kinda reminds me all the cartouches with royal titularies that were chiseled away in Egypt to try to erase a previous pharaoh from history, like Hatshepsut who even had some of her works walled off to hide them - more here)

The good thing with "no kitties" is that they don't shed everywhere now ;p I'm way better! *hides her only kitty in a barn* (who am I kidding, she's always stuck in the barn anyway)
