Roadmap for a detour

    kaladim roadmap is confusing at best
    Age of Discovery
    AA Cap is Raised to 320. Adds Mercenaries, Apprentices and Reforging. Adventure and Tradeskill levels raised to 92. Beastlords unlocked. Includes Withered Lands, Skyshrine, and Plane of War.
    And the latest update mentions Jan 25 as release date for AoD.
    AoD is contentless, We have the mercs, BLs, apprentices and reforging. The dungeon maker has been removed long ago.


    What can we expect to be released jan 25?


    Lets put one thing in place first. Im very superhappy over the release of BLs, mercs and apprentices. It gives us something to do during contentdrought, The mercs was needed after the recent drop in population. We had days where we could sit LFG for literally 8-10h for a hunterrun. Those days are gone. Well. very few still run hunters anyways, but at least we can fill a grp with something, TYVM!


    Peeps happily search Nek forest for Kenny, so thats another positive timesink. But the entire server and our moms knows how to get multible contracts from one elite spawn.- This cant be intended, and it would be awesome with a mechanic that prevents it. Something like an active control feature that plays/scans during the hiring-dialogue and if it detects more than one new Kenny from that dialogue then all but one of them will be deleted.
    Reforging is reduced to bling - meh! This sorta makes sense on live where one of the positive sideeffects is that its harder to get the perfect stats. The gearprogression on Kaladim isnt there yet, and classes like wizards and scouts suffer under this, tho most scoutclasses to some extend have reuse wich compensate.
    Kaladim could really use the original reforging system.
    The apprentices! - yesss... 14 days researchtimers for lvl 90 items gets a thumbs up. But the joy stops short here, and is replaced with /scratch_head instead.


    The original plan was to release them at lvl 92. This was changed and we got them a cpl of weeks ago instead, at lvl 90. But were at the 2nd lvl 90 expansion,(DoV) and the items we can make from the mats and recipes that was added with the apprentices is scaled for the first lvl 90 release(SF).
    SF was 6.odd potency and 60s mainstats(at release) DoV have 8.odd potency and 80s mainstats.
    The apprentices etc is bundled as midcontent, and logic gear progression suggest the "apprentice-gear" should have 9.0, or 9.2 ish potency and 90s mainstats. They should have 1 adornmentslot less than HM/raidgear, and should also have reduced CB when comparing with raidgear. - 2 or - 3 CB relative to HM/raid drop would be perfect.
    Its downtright useless as it is now. Its basically gear from last expack, wich mindblowingly was planned to be released in the future.


    What was the original itemization set at when the plan was to release at lvl 92??
    The products needs a tweak. The smile and joy from getting the apprentices only last so long if all we get in reality is some fooditems and QoL potions.
    BLs - rofl. It is (almost) as it was for original launch. Everyone and their mother is rolling one and theyre just as broken OP as back then. Its the swiss armyknife in terms of utility, but the blade is a zweihander in terms of DPS.
    And one of the few classes that could beat them consistently on the parse is now reduced to a shadow of its former self. The BLs needs a tap with the nerfhammer.
    Alternatively, buff the casters. An easy way to do that is to fiddle with recovery time. We cant reforge into it anymore, and wizards is the only caster that can get somewhat acceptable numbers from AAs. Throw in 30-50 % Recovery as focus effect or ad it as stat on class restricted gear.
    Most think recovery is a borderline useless stat to worry about, but its kinda stupid how much time we actually spend on recovey.


    We can in very coarse terms make the claim that IF you only cast CAs/spells with 0.25 casttime then about 2/3 of your time in combat is spend on recovery(plz correct me if wrong)
    - Obviously is not practically possible to do that, but it gives a clearer picture of how important recovery is. And if used right then its perfect for regulation and finetuning of class balances. Casters needs love.

    TLDR; The apprentice recipes needs a tweak to be put it in line with DoV midcontent rather than with SF at launch. BLs waas expected to be OP. But 1 BL can do same(or more) dmg now than a full grp could at same time original launch. Tone it down a bit? What can we expect Jan 25? - (yes, i(think i) know. Skyshrine, Withered lands? Plane of War? But that will in effect be a "new" expack release. Whats suppsed to be midcontent for the midcontent?

    Server really needs to live through DoV. Not even so much for the sake of the current TLE, but for all the TLEs we have come to expect in the future
    Theres nothing more detrimental and demoralizing than a serverpopulation that sets a date for when server will die. Oh! yes.. there is. When they set a date for EoL and is right about it.

    Stormhold, Fallen gate both folded just around this point, Kaladim is hanging by a thread.
    Can we have an open discussion about whats causing them to crumble at the excactly same time, and what could be done to prevent it again?
    Would love it if a dev/community manager opend a thread. if thats not a thing then plz support it if one is opend by the players
