Hi all, Thanks in advance for any advice. I am confused with game play at the moment, I've been soloing the AoM content as i knock the rust off and get back into the swing of things, but near as i can tell neither the charm pets nor the possessed essence are viable as a means to solo. I'm finding i must use a merc to tank. not sure if i am doing something wrong but this seems weird for a pet-centric class. Thoughts?
You are correct. Mages especially at the start are really squishy. I had to use a tank merc. Coercer pets are really added dps. I think with most mages except for necro that has a tank pet would have a tough time getting by without a merc.
