Question about Auto-attack and ranger

I just returned to the game and got my ranger to 95, and am starting to look at the gear drops and effects on rings and such ... as a ranger back in SoF days it was all about ranged auto attack and time your abilities never to interrupt. but i am noticing effects on rings, trinkets and then other slots that say on melee attack it will do black ... so is it best to use auto attack assumption and weave melee auto attacks with some ranged to get the best of both worlds or just focus on ranged and not worry about procs?

    thanks for your time,

    Art

Very few items any more say on a Melee attack, and very few of them anymore don't proc off ranged auto anyway.

    Always use a bow.

Thank you for the response, another question because i never paid attention to it, flurry, in old days it was main hand only, so does it work with bow or should i just reforge out of it?

Flurry works for ranged auto-attack (and spell ranged auto-attack).

You didn't mention it, but you will want to get ae auto-attack to 100% as well for even more reason to not forestall an auto-attack :)
