i have a lot of lag. however, i am boxing and my alt managed to do the quest just fine. but when i went to do it, i target the poisoned othmir, click on my potion,and get the emote "this is not a friend". so how do i do this quest? why are the poisoned othmir not my friends or whatever they need to be? edit- i guess because she did it- (she failed three times and got the title anyhow) all i had to do was accept the quest again after the inevitable failure, and she gave me the title anyhow.
This quest is actually optional now, for those who read this thread and haven't done it. Simply pick up the quest then hail the NPC and choose something like "I'm ready to move onto the next task".
unless you really want to do it, like i did, and then you run into this bug. doesn't matter if it is optional or not. if i want to do it, then it shouldn't be bugged
