    I have a 20 necro that i play once in a while.
I decided to fix all my spell and respec him.

Everything went fine except for one thing...
Why is Rock Blast and Rotten Blast of the same timer?

Rock Blast is direct damage, and Rotten Blast is a dot
they don't even have the same icon. why would they be on the same timer?

    Am i missing something?

Their "HO" icon is the same. That doesn't hold for ALL spells, but often it's a clue. But rotten blast isn't "really" a DoT. It's essentially a nuke due to its extremely short duration. You can literally chain-cast it and never overwrite the old one due to recast and casting time. And the re-cast is the same as dust blast too. Rotten blast, pestilent blast, etc are all your "normal" nukes as a necro now. At least for a bit (maybe always?) the only "completely instant" DDs you have are your lifetaps.

The difference is so slight though, it's essentially your nuke. I wouldn't worry about it. It works good, and it's on the resist everything else in your future necro career is on (disease).

SOE's responce would be "well they both start with "Ro".. What the problem?"...... :smileyindifferent:

You have Word of Force available to you if you want an instant DD available. Think you can get that at 20. Still shares the same timer as others mentioned though.
