NPC Elar Roughroot bugged for Seren's Scouts quest?

    I am unable to speak to Elar Roughroot to complete this quest. I keep getting the error "You are too far away to interact with that". However, my character is well within an accepted range to speak with this NPC. Any suggestions?

    There is a bug where quest NPCs fall into the landscape, but usually if you can target them they will pop back to place when hailed. You can try /camp yourname while beside them to see if that causes a reset.

    I'm not familiar with the quest or the NPC, so can't give a quest specific response.

    Thanks, log in/out reset the npc, he now appears up in the tree where he should be instead of at the base of the tree.

    I had the same issue, he was appearing on the ground. Logged to character select right next to him and back in, he was up on top the tree mushroom where he should be.
