New monk with a question

I'm new to the class and only lvl 15, but I had a question that maybe you can help me with. I'm using regular burlap fist wraps and my attack is around 260 and I hit for 5-6dmg a hit. When I use my bare hands my attack is almost 900 and I hit for 25+. Can anyone help me out with this? I'm a bit confused, I thought adding the fist wraps would ADD to my attack and everything.

well the answers easy. throw that fist crap away and go bare man. Im gonna have to try this now lol.

That's what I was afraid of. Will the dmg be like that with any DW weps I get?

I think what was discovered, that in general, treasured weapons won't be as good damage as bare hands. However, legendary weapons (ie, rare crafted) will be better. Maybe you should try a 2her?

Also, bare fists won't be able to hit named creatures.

thank you. I tried a 2hand staff, but I didn't like the look. I guess I'll have to keep a 2hander for those named fights. thanks again
