Plz bump this in support of necroposting of lore/history. According to there policies necro-posting on History (as oppose to current events) is forbidden. DEE-DA-DEE! Repost ALL historic content every 6months and rehash old questions. I wonder how much more staffing and hardrives that would require. Common sense ftw... too bad common sense is an oxymoron... because its not very common Was reading history and found a mod (Kaitheel I believe) putting someone down because the mighty mod had felt she had more knowledge of the policy, and not the content of the policy (when history is involved its a necropost even if you will make it tomorrow.. face it JFK is dead and saying it tomoorow will not change history. Actually I'm pretty sure Jindrack posted way back that the History & Lore section is the one section Necro posting is permitted as to rather create new threads old information can then be re-read with new revelation as the devs create the revelations to the story of the game. that said... I do approve Necro posting for lore. yay!
The Lore forum is suppose to be the one place that bringing up long dead threads is allowed because we're talking about topics that players will remain interested in no matter how long ago it was first posted. Also it helps us to not repost the same information over and over again. Also Lore can change with new content being released. Or old lore can become more relevant when the same NPCs are brought back and provide answers to old questions (or new questions). Most anywhere else, necroposting is just annoying at best and full of disinformation at worst.
