Hmm why do you have to make every post you make a templar vs fury thing?
Its getting a bit old but ok, btw if the interrupts on the templar are so bad why are people in the templar boards first posting, "interrupts are fixed" and someone else posts "int affects interrupts" etc. etc. doesnt seem some templars notice too much interrupts.
But all of this is just mildly interesting to me as I dont have anything with the templar class, Im sure most people on the fury boards feel the same take your templar probs to the templar boards pls.
But, yes while soloing Ive gotten quite some interrupts too its kind of hard to shoot our slow nukes at times and in some fights its almost my dmg shield doing all the dps.
So thats a valid concern for the soloers.

Agility will save your leather wearing butt. Trust me. My guild leader prctically forced new gear into my hands and said "Put it on and stop complaining." He's sweet like that. :womantongue:lol He was right. Push your AGI along with you Wis and INT.

Heh well ive got that witch kite shield from vaults, gives me +10% avoidance so im about at 35% avoidance, but I dont care that much personally as Im mostly raiding and lvl 70 so I wont be doing much soloing anymore ;)
But yeah good tip for the soloers out there.

36% avoidance here with 295 Agility and I still get interrupted way too much when soloing. Oh well, its annoying but I can live with it I guess.

Gee folks! I was only looking to express what I would ask Santa Programmer for if I could make any changes to my Fury. It wasn't meant to start a "don't complain or the Sony Gods will nerf you", or a "why are you complaining" discussion. It was just a lonely little list wandering around out there looking for a sympathetic ear, and ideas I perhaps hadn't thought of. **Yes, yes, yes! to short casting times, longer lasting DOT's and more Druid/Wisdom focused gear! Thank you to those who noted this!**
    As for the rest:
I like playing a fury, but it was not what was promised, and I had a wish list for things that I felt would make the character more of what it was supposed to be per SOE's assertions. When I started playing my fury, it was based on the description that it was supposed to be focused more on control over nature to be an ally in battle, vs. a wadren's description which indicated the focus was more on the healing in battle. I am not the only person who chose this catagory with this belief, and I based on in and out of game converstations I have had with others, I am not the only person who felt lead to this belief and was disappointed.
Additionally, I feel that there are issues regarding character development where the fury, and the warden for that matter, are very undruid like. It made no sense to me some of the ways that the characters were equipped, written and evolved. I wish for these things in order to make my Fury everything I feel she should or could be. Part of the confusion and lack of character development and ability, IMHO, is based on SOE's description of what a fury was supposed to be vs. a warden. This is based on in game narratives and character description in SOE's literature. The differences, IMHO, should be stronger and with more diifference in the focus of each, otherwise why have even have the seperate druid classes?
Also, why should any class be allowed to have a lock on certain abilities when they should obviously cross class abilities - i.e. rangers and druids both having tracking. It is absolutely silly to assert that only one group should be allowed abilities that should obviously be known several classes. I am all for certain class specific abilities, but common sense should prevail.

ya, you had a fun thread in the beginning. I was pretty sure it was going to turn int this though. Oh well. Trying to get it back on track for things you would like to see for your FURY:
One additional thing I would like to see is a class hat that is tailored to us, and not a copy of the shaman one. I was pretty excited about completing the quest, but then it looked like a mystic died on my head :(

o ya - and Fix Call of Storms!
  8. ARCHIVED-Meekerme Guest

    I agree on all points.
  9. ARCHIVED-mystic586 Guest

I still think the Druid class hat looks like you have a dead badger on your head.......just wrong.
  10. ARCHIVED-Pucswift Guest

exactly give me big lion head with the full mane!! woot
  11. ARCHIVED-mystic586 Guest

Antlers would make more sense from an RP perspective to me.
  12. ARCHIVED-Meekerme Guest

But not for a see over the giant Barbarian's head perspective. I like the lion idea or the idea posted in another thread to give us a hat similar to the one in Princess Mononoke.
  13. ARCHIVED-mystic586 Guest

Its easy to complain about the looks of it, but how many of us out there actually leave the hat graphic on now anyway? i know I don't.

The ability of some classes to whine and cry at the smallest things is astounding. Which is why I believe we will never see such nice things as these (though I can hope and dream that someday we do). Scouts would be totally up in arms about it:

    - I never even thought about the tracking thing. But if they were to add it, knowing SOE it'd probably be animal only. i.e. useless.

    - A group SoW. Of course, scouts would be up in arms about their oh so special group run buff being useless now (I'm astounded non of them complain about the AMAZING bard run buff of 34%. That's pretty much a group sprint. If they do, I really don't see it). If not group SoW, then make it either a toggle (I'm lazy and don't cast it on other people anyways, unless they request it. Which is a blue moon sort of thing), or make it waaaaaaay longer. Half an hour is very short when playing EQ2. It feels like I am constantly recasting this.

And then some other things, which other priests would probably be panty twisted about:

    - Make the HoTs a bit longer. I am loathe to see a number reduction on the amount, so if you are decreasing that as a trade off to making it longer, don't bother. But that's just me personally, so. . .

    - As mentioned before, a bit of a boost to Nature's Elixir would be nice. But my other priest friends already hate it as it is, and whine and cry that their casting time is so long (which it is) while mine is so short. They'd surely cry "sky is falling! sky is falling!"

    - Pet would be nice. But guaranteed to have half the classes complaining and get more flavor of the month people rolling Furies.

There are some nice changes I'd like to see, but the ability of people to whine and cry and moan loud enough to get something that they don't like nerfed is utterly amazing. So I don't see any of it happening. Would be nice though.

    My Druid (Fury/Warden) Wish List:

I'm reasonably happy with my Fury .. these are thoughts that would just sweeten the cake for me ... :)
    • Evac for Fury (@65+) and Invis for Warden (@65+)
    • Summoned Pet!
      • A Lion cub for Fury and a Wolf cub for Warden
      • They don't have to be anything more than what the EQ1 version was; basically a "baby dot".
    • TRACKING! I so miss my tracking!
      • I wouldn't mind if it was limited to outdoor only and had a smaller range than the Scout Version
      • Maybe for the next set of AA abilities in future expansions?
    • FIRE DD - Why they took away Fire DD's from Furies is beyond me.
      • Fire is the most potent "fury" nature can create. Storms create fire!
    • I want a few craftable & imbued Scimitars and more added to quest rewards.
    • Since we can't have our circlets of Thorns / leaves ..
      • A Leather cap with Antlers would be nice for both druids if we have to share.
      • Maybe the difference could be in the way the Antlers were displayed or how many branches.
    • Group SoW (this is for Druid/Shamans). Not everyone has a horse and viewing the carpets hurt my back.
    • Porting would be nice, too .. (Druid / Wizards)
I would love to see another live event where the server has to "re-charge" & in some cases "re-build" or even just "build" the druid rings and the wizard spires to be used for "placement porting". Could even be a seperate quest that the individual Druid / Wizard must complete to gain access to each of the the "spells" that would let them port to and from the newly activated druid rings & wizard spires. That way it would require not only server participation but also each individual Druid / Wizard would have to work for the access of each new location. ie .. The Druid Rings are activated. I would still need to go talk to "X-person" to train me in how to concentrate my power to seek the "Antonica" Druid Rings .. once I have completed that training "X-person" refers me to "Z-person" to learn to focus my power to seek the "Commonland Druid Rings" .. etc .. etc .. etc ... Make the quests Class Based (Fury / Warden / Wizard / Warlock (?)) and Level based. So that a level 10 Fury couldn't port to Zek Druid Rings / Etc ..
Rewards: (to keep it simple .. )
For the Adventurers: After the completion of each of the "Ring" / "Spire", Title based on amount of work contributed & Mini Druid Ring House Item.
For the Crafters: After the completion of each of the "Ring" / "Spire", Title based on amount of work contributed & Mini Druid Ring House Item.
For the Raiding guilds: After the completion of each of the "Ring" / "Spire" a RING event of epic x1-4 (depending on zone level) of mobs that are normally within the zone. (ie Orcs for Commonland / Gnolls for Antonica / Faires for EL / Etc ) could spawn and try to "destroy" the newly created "Ring" / "Spire".
Upon successful completion of the Ring Event = Quest reward for Title of "Protector of the ___ Ring / Spire". Title quest non-repeatable / Items looted NO TRADE / LORE. (this is so to avoid the whole "uber" Guild Hordin of the events .. hopefully)
For the Druid / Wizards: The ability to seek out the "Location Trainers" and upon completion of ALL (current) training a Title of "Location Specialist" or something that could pertain to both Druid / Wizard classes .... *shrug* ...

That statement is so very true.
  17. ARCHIVED-Wanderling Guest

Maybe we should try a world wide solidarity movement. On every server we could all meet at the druid circles throughout Norrath at an appointed date and time and stand there for one hour spamming SOE with chants like:
"Druid Rights and Peace!"; "More Leather Makes Druids Better!"; "The Furies Are Furious!", "Druids Love Pets, Too!", "Help Us Find our Way - Give Us Tracking!"; "We didn't start the fire, becuase you won't let us!"; "Set the Furies Free!" ; and "Shorter Casting Times for Druids Everywhere!"
If SOE only wants to listen to the people that complain, then let's make it impossible for them to ignore us.
  18. ARCHIVED-quetzaqotl Guest

Ok been testing out this new increased dmg for priests today (tho whos really meleeing a mob to dead but that aside), didnt notice too much of a difference still takes an hour to melee a mob to death hehe.
But been playing around with my scimitar and the starter aa the dmg proc Ive only seen it proc once in a fight pure melee for like 5 mins and the dmg it does is (still!)pathetic something must be wrong with this, anyone else notice the same?
  19. ARCHIVED-Asp728 Guest

My lord, that was funny. I like the "The Furies Are Furious!" the best.
  20. ARCHIVED-Wanderling Guest

LOL! Glad to know individuals with a sense of humor are still with us here on the boards. I thought of a few others but decided they were either too cheesy or too likely to be edited.
