It's quite simple really . One rule . If you'd need an item as a player , so would others . Now , bearing in mind there are different tiers of players , what I'm going to do here is list options for raising plat for different tiers of players . Firstly , you are not helpless if you have no expansions , or subscription , or aren't level 100 . See the first rule ! Now for tips . In Kunark Ascending ANY twark geared alt can do the ghost key quest in obulus every 6 hours . That's generally 12k plat give or take depending on the server for 10 minutes work PER alt . Secondly , doing the KA tradeskill weeklies earns you 2 'Blank Luclinite Runes' . These can be crafted into ther new ka runes . The 100k abil mod and 4% fervor sets EVERYONE needs . Thirdly , doing the tot ts weekly gets you enough tot tradeskill currency for the components bar the transcendent quintessences for 2.5 war runes per run per alt . Those AOM war runes are still the highest tier crafted waqr runes and thus also valuable to other players . Fourthly , the aforementioned transcendent Quintessences . Have a toon that make s98 phantom handcrafted gear with bag space and a separate spec between mass production , and full salvage in both prestige trees , you can generally make 4 quints per 200 crafts , which equates to roughtly 15-20k plats worth of quints for war rune components per 20 minutes work . Fifth , if you're geared appropriately , form slr groups . Now if you don't have ka or tot , don't panic . Until the next expac , harvesting spellshards/foundations in any zone from dov up will earn you harvests needed for players grandmaster spells even without expacs .They will be endgame until November basically . Now if you're unsubbed , ask a guildy or a friend to use a broker crate for you for a commission . In addition , silvers can sell in auction with the only common sense advice being drop your sale price enough to make your item valuable to potential buyers . Ie resell value or significant saving . Now below all that , everyone needs rares for the basic ts epic in kunark so all that sells well , too . then there is just plain commission crafting for other players , and powerlevelling other players . In short , there is no way y0ou should be unable to raise plat to fit into the norrathian economy . Oh , and a couple of asides . If you're subbed , every month you get free offers with the dayb reak cash rewards . Selling the 'free' merc crates is a nice plat boost . On Freeport/Skyfire it ranges from 80-150k plat . Krono prices are ridiculous on most live servers . Selling a kroon will net you a fortune . And as a subbed player even as a level 10 , 5 loyalty tokens can earn ya a bag with 500 plat . Assuming you have the loyalty tokens , /marketplace , loyalty tab , general ab , a small bag of platinum coins , examine bag , bang 500p I hope all this helps you .
with tome of ascended and the new BG gear, don't know if people will keep buying keys. they become less interesting. same for wantia adorns. now u can get better ones in BG and for spells, sure people will still try to get their spells to higher levels, but same, with all the new stat inflation, better upgrade the ascension spells, they will get the most from Ab mod and we will get a LOT. better find new ways to get plat
