I have noticed that there are very few mobs that actually drop purple gems. There are several final boss encounters that drop purple (tier 2) raid armor that do not drop the gems. This is causing a high demand for the purple gems since we have more sources for armor than of the gems. For instance, Grethah the Frenzied and Arch Lich Rag'Zadune do not drop purple gems which makes no sense since they are both final bosses that drop purple armor. Grethah only drops forearms, so that one is a bit more understandable, but Arch Lich is considerably more challenging, yet has never dropped a purple gem. Any chance this can be a mistake?
Mobs that drop the patterns should also drop the gems. I think captain is another example where he drops a gem but no armour?
