Just killed this Epic x4 mob in Drayek's Chamber in Permafrost. He's a 52 Epic x4 mob and he dropped one rare, one treasured item, one adept and one master. No Fabled item. Surely thats not right.
Since release of EQ2 there has never been a 100% chance to get a masterchest in this zone, plus its timer is shorter than others in T5.
I swear... since the itemization update, 98% of all the old world epic mobs, hardly ever drop fabled loot anymore. Most the time is treasured, and very rarely legendary. Which is sad. But, if you do get something fabled to drop from any old epic mob, you have a 99.9% chance it's a fabled item that was missed in the itemization entirely, and you would have been better off with the treasured loot. Example - Greatsword of Mastery, Fabled, lvl 40. +2 str, +9 agi, +10 wis, +3 int (Beserker, Guardian, Paladin, Shadowknight only) TWO-HANDED SLASHING
Original release epics didn't drop guaranteed Fabled. Most of the time, they dropped some rares, a couple spells, and 2-4 items, which could be Treasured, Legendary, or Fabled at the whim of the RNG. As mentioned above, modern Treasured loot is better than Fabled was at launch, so you're not really losing anything by getting Treasured from those MOBs, unless you're a transmuter.
