Is this a bug, mistake, or Tailor thing? Can't make whips past Tier 9...

I think it would be more like a ranged weapon, you stand back and snap it but like a boomerang it comes back to you. Hmmm, a boomerang would be a cool weapon as well. I saw a program on the tele and a boomerang in the hands of a skilled person is quite deadly!!

Vinyl  - https://www.discogs.com/Rankin-Bass-The-Return-Of-The-King/release/1920808 However, this is very cut down  version and needed tracks are absent. Ok, here is whole series for free (for young and old alike) - https://archive.org/details/TheDesolationOfSmaugXvid And not to look - I found. Enjoy another video clip, by the way, they fly on mounts - Audio track from any clip on youtube to can save elementary - for this there are appropriate browser extensions. And here are texts - http://tolkiengateway.net/wiki/Where_There's_a_Whip,_There's_a_Way and http://tolkiengateway.net/wiki/The_Towers_of_the_Teeth And yet, as I wrote earlier, they (DBG) need to invite Jeremy Soule. Because although this game has long history, it doesn't compare with Skyrim in terms of nice musical accompaniment (for example - ). Unfortunately :(

[IMG] "I forgot! And you reminded me!", woodworker told, "now for you there will be no tasty cookies (have a rest the provisioner!) because the best boomerangs turn out from boombera (macadamia) wood, and we need many boomerangs, and it's a lot of boombera trees to arm the whole army!", "Hmm. but where my recipe?, you (lovers of tasty cookies), didn't see it, my recipe?!" https://ftb.gamepedia.com/Magical_Boomerang https://dragonquest.fandom.com/wiki/Boomerang_(weapon)

Nah, 1Hd. Sword (it does slashing damage and you don't need two hands to wield it). If they can make a Quarterstaff (we all remember the classic Robin Hood v. Little John fight, right?) into a 1Hd. Staff (or Club, or whatever ludicrous category they have it in)... ;->

Unfortunately not all toons can adorn themselves with this. Can only: berserker, all scouts, channeler, paladin, guardian, shadowknight, fury, warden. My prist and mage can't whip mobs :(

You can if you put the item in the wardrobe.

I know, that is why I wrote earlier what I have quoted here ("but there is a solution! put the whip in appearance!"). But my mage and priest cannot use it as weapon of class, which means I will not put it and cannot. It's in principle. If it was written that it was them, and not someone else's, then another thing

Wardrobe and appearance slots are different. You can break all sorts of class only rules in the wardrobe. You can put almost anything in the wardrobe and have it for appearance, even if you can't put it directly in the appearance slot.

I finally started using it myself for a Templar of mine that I was gathering various Appearance bits to make him look like a Roman centurion (The Last Centurion, for those who'd recognize the reference ;)). Priests can't use short swords that look like spathas or rectangular tower shields, so I finally decided to get a couple of cheap versions of such (so I wouldn't miss them) and Destroy them, essentially...which is why I was always so leery about the Wardrobe in the past ("DESTROY an item?? Ahh!"). :-/

I can understand Ra'Gruzgob's irritation over all this, but seriously, dude, all you have to do, if they're the sort of toon who'd be whipping folks in the first place, is get the rest of their outfits in line as such: scary plate armor, or a sexy Gi (very odd, I've always thought, since monks were originally supposed to be celibate?), or duds from the RL Inquisition, etc. That way, it's just a prop, like for a play. There's a ton of "set dressing" I'd love to have as house items, and we're slowly but surely getting more of them, but in the meantime, we muddle through. :-/

I don’t hear sound of whip (in past week, most of time in game, I whipped mobs, but I didn’t hear anything). Is this sound patented by someone? Two seconds from the soundtrack, it seems, isn't forbidden to copy if devs in studio don't have whip on wall and no mic to record its sound? Very upset :(.. Not enough klah-tch-klach-tch, this is beyond words ... What is this? The appearance that you like can be shown, but sounds? Where are sounds! klah-tch-klach-tch..

The sound of a rawhide whip breaks the sound barrier. That is the 'crack' sound you hear. MythBusters did a show on this.
