So one of the things I noticed at the EQN lore panel was this tidbit of information. The thing that shines to me is that this is entirely possible to be true in EQ2 as there is no recorded iksar history before the Greenmist and it has never been proven that Cazic Thule actually made the iksar. In fact many in game books point to the fact that Cazic may have not created the Iksar, Merely freed them and claimed to be their creator... Thoughts?

Umm...nothing in EQNext is a retcon. Everything in EQNext is totally separate from the rest of the games. A complete fresh start with a totally different history. The only things that carry over from other games to EQNext are the names, not even the beings behind the names will be the same. And by extension anything that happens in EQNext doesn't impact the other EQ based games. Iksar are very clearly claimed to have been created at the same time the Shissar were, and it was against the laws thrown down by Cazic Thule for the Shissar to enslave another of his races. That was one of the major reasons the Greenmist was used to destroy the Shissar (though the last straw was when the Shissar stopped worshiping Cazic).
