So I am a blank slate when it comes to playing a weeezard. Have limited experience with mages thus far as well. Played an Illusionist every now and then but have mostly played scouts and fighters since starting out in 2006. My focus is raiding current end game content at 100, 350, 140k resists, +/-700-800 HP, etc. I can get the appropriate gear and jewelry and purple/white adorns so assuming that I have at least green gear and Phantom Sea heroic jewelry, what I would like to know is how do I make sure I am consistently one of the top three in the parse? What should be my primary spells and when and why? Yes I know I am basically asking for the keys to the Emerald City and this is stuff I should probably know already but I created my heroic wizard like yesterday and I created it to fill a specific guild requirement that exists like now.
