I am trying to decide which I should equip between these 2 pieces: Cloak of the Onayan Battle Mage FABLED LORE +4 str +40 sta +13 wis +43 int +212 Health +283 Power +883 vs elemental9% Crit Chance +120 Ability Modifier Unchained II SlotCloak Level90 Effects: When Equipped: [Unchained II] onCastHostileSpell this spell has a 10% chance to cast Unchained Increase ability mod of caster by 200 onHit this spell has a 10% chance to cast Unchained Increase ability mod of caster by 200 This spell can not be modified except by direct means OR Cloak of the Scholar Primarch LEGENDARY HEIRLOOM LORE-EQUIP +4 str +49 sta +14 wis +49 int +241 Health +322 Power +651 vs noxious+0.2 Ability Casting Speed 8% Crit Chance +125 Ability Modifier Molten Carnage II SlotCloak Level90 Effects: When Equipped: [Molten Carnage II] Increases the potency of all abilities by 2.0%. Increases Ability Casting Speed of caster by 6.0% Keep in mind I am wearing the Cloak of the Scholar Primarch atm and I have not attuned the Onayan Battle Mage, therefore I could sell it for 100p +. I am also a fairly new player so that is a lot of plat for me. I could buy a couple of masters I need: Shattered Earth and Planar Shift with the money I would make (they are at Expert level now). I am trying to maximize my dps. Therefore, what would be the best bet iyo? Thanks in advance for any help
Thanks Xalmat. I was leaning that way. I did some VERY, VERY rough math and assumed that the Scholar Primarch could increase my dps by 80 and the Battle Mage by 42 (this was looking at focus effects only as the other stats are similar). My back of an envelope math: Battle Mage 200 abi mod fires about 2x/min for 15 sec dur. = 30 sec/min buff or 50% of the time The guessing part: get off 25 spells in 1 min x 50% = 12.5 spells x 200 abi mod = 2500 dpm or 42 dps Scholar Primarch 2% pet potency The guessing (a lot as I have never bothered to parse my pet. He could very well do a lot more. I think I read somewhere a pet is 50% of our dps and I can parse about 12-14k on training dummy): I assumed he could do 4000dps x 2% = 80dps My math is probably way off, haha, and I am sure there are many factors I left out. Feel free to critique away
No need to do the math. If it doesn't have a pet effect, you don't equip it unless you have no choice.
Thanks for the advice. That's a principle I have always lived by, but I think I was thrown off by the Fabled vs. Legendary tags. However, I know from reading your posts that Fabled doesn't necessarily mean better
