I'm creating a spreadsheet that includes spell data on our combat art upgrades and I'd like to get info from others to help me fill in the blanks for it. I'm mostly interested in upgrades going from Adept 1 to Adept 3 but feel free to include info from Apprentice 4s as well as Master 1s if you like. Also, to keep this in a semi-manageable size, I only want info on spells that are level 35 or higher. The key to remember is that I need the info EXACTLY as it's listed in game for you. Estimates or "I think it was around..." don't help. Oh, and I also need your level too. That's just as important. Any format is fine, so long as I can understand it. Here is an example of what I'm talking about: Freezing Palm (level 45) Apprentice 4 Power: 65 Decrease caster health: 202 Melee dmg on target: 345-575 Master 1 Power: 62 Decrease caster health: 202 Melee dmg on target: 379-632 I am primarily doing this to try to identify which of our upgrades need attention by the devs since many Monks have reported that several Adept 3 versions of our arts are virtually identical to their Adept 1 counterparts. However, once the info is compiled, the list could be a valuable tool for others to use when looking for specific data info. Any help is appreciated. Just remember, I need your level, the combat art (35+ only), which skill levels you went from (Adept 1 to Adept 3, etc), and what changed, if anything.
Just upgraded Everburning Fire and wanted to share the info. For reference, I am level 50. Everburning Fire (level 46) Adept 1 Increase Attack Speed of caster by 36% Decrease health by 40 Adept 3 Increase Attack Speed of caster by 40% Decrease health by 40 I've also seen someone post the info on a Master 1 too. I have an Adept 3 Focus Energy and Adept 3 Quiet Purity. I will edit this post to give the stats on these when I get home (7pm est or so).
Focus Energy (level 36) Adept I Power: 44 Increase Threat: 453 Increase DPS of caster: 5% Interrupts target encounter Adept III Power: 46 Increase Threat: 463 Increase DPS of caster: 5% Interrupt target encounter Can you say waste of freaking rare? Sure, I knew ya could. Quiet Purity -- Level 37 Adept I Power: 115 Increase DPS of group: 9% Increase Crusing piercing and slashing of group: 9 Increase mitigation of group vs. mental: 257 Adept III Power: 117 Increase DPS of group: 9% Increase Crusihing piercing and slashing of group: 10 Increase mitigation of group vs mental: 267 *Sigh* Another waste I am level 44 and the stats are the same with Winding dragon active: Tranquility +10, so I would assume these are the best stats we will see from these skills.
Got an interesting upgrade yesterday and thought I'd share. Heal (level 48) Adept 1 Heals caster for 26% Compress (level 34) Master 1 Heals caster for 32% I'm not a big fan of using combat arts that I've long outgrown but in the case of our heal, I figured it was a no-brainer. Besides, it was only 60g and 6% is a fairly nice increase.
thats the best upgrade ive seen. the absolute STUPID thing about adepts and masters is they upgrade the potency, but they also jack up the power usage, which makes it the same skill, or even worse in some cases
I managed to get Brawlers Stance Adept3 and Staggering Stance Adept3. Both waste of a rare. Unfortunately back then I didnt write down the stats =( I remember it being +1 Deflect/Defense on Brawlers and I don't think anything changed on Staggering.
Bump.. I know it isn't 35+ but since it is last of a spell line I wanted to include it since I still use the skill at 44: Face of the Mountain Adept 1 177 power 55 sec duration Increase mitigation by 189 Face of the Mountain Adept 3 177 power 55 sec duration Increase mitigation by 195 Basically it wasn't as big of an increase as I thought it might be.. boils down to an increase in 0.1% mitigation at lvl 44 Kharza lvl 44 Monk Mistmoore

This was already on the list but since it does get better at 50... Compress Master 1 Heals target for 33% However through testing both compress and heal are severely broken. I tested around 22% for both arts no matter what the spell delve said or how far upgraded. For testing I also tried mend, which also did not heal for its stated delve value, exact figures/testing can be found in the monk bugs there on the forum here. Someone with spare time on their hands should feign about a thousand times and record what their feign value was. This would both tell us the range of feign values and the true percent chance to succeed. Would be nice to get this for Adept 1 and 3 of each version of FD.
Are you level 50? If not, then since your tranquility skill is lower, the damage is lower. If you are 50...then maybe you are right This is probably as good of a place as I can find to bring this up... since its not too off topic: Is it safe to say that the "biggest" upgrades are on damage combat arts and not buff combat arts? There are of course some exceptions to that rule... but as an example, you see that Quiet Purity and Spider Stance have little to no increase in their potency whatsoever. But, Biting Mantis and Icy Talon do have a rather large jump. I bring this up because over the past week, my alchemist was lucky enough to get 2 free Rhodium (/shock) and I harvested up another last night in Everfrost. I first upgraded Icy Talon. That was a nice increase, in my opinion. But, I've been racking my brain trying to figure out which other combat arts are worth upgrading. Should I just stick with damage arts?
