    ZabJade here, going to use a new name for a new Forum. They SOOO need more Profile choices, the Original models are fugly and have plastic hair.

    Yeah if there was ONE forum to bring over, it was the lore forums. What a waste.

    Yes eq2wire has backed up alot, and I also see that someone decided to leave a link to the old forums under 'archive forums' at the bottom of the main new forum list.

    I wonder if they will look at importing the threads over here. No real need to worry about mapping users, profiles, etc... just pull the post body in as new threads/posts.

    but aren't they going to eliminate the archive too eventually? might still be a better idea to copy and past things over to here while we can

    Yes, but only for "a couple of month (that is more than 2)" according to the switch message in this very archived forum. Afterwards it is gone. I read that EQ2Wire tries to crawl it and will archive it long term. But a private site is a private site, these still tend to disappear at some point ...

    that's true. maybe we can get a thread/post going with things that have happened thus far up to the new expansion. a kind of overview of the 'arching' stories?

    EQ2wire does have a back up of the old forums and is planing on making them searchable. It is however a good idea to atleast have the "offical" lore moved over here if not by the devs then by us.
