I recently downloaded the game and have noticed that my map UI is not the same as the ones I have seen in like you-tube videos. I have been looking into the options and haven't seen anything that displays marks for quest objectives. Where is the option for this?

One more thing since I am F2P i dont have access to the broker to sell stuff. Someone told me I can sell from my home? How exactly can I do this? I don't mind reading some material and guides if you guys have links.

    Thank you

Its most likely a mod called EQ2maps. Its a great addon that adds some major functionality to the map such as points of interest, information on quests and where to find certain elements of them, and much more. I believe you can go to eq2interface and get the auto loading one that has a self install. Its the easiest way to install it and has an update feature so you don't have to redownload it after every miner/major patching. Hope this helps.

You can only sell from your home through the broker system (unless that's changed quite recently.) There are salesman crates of varying types and sizes that go into the broker then can be placed with sales displays in your home. There are two ways as a free to play person to sell your items to players. One would be to buy unlock tokens from the station cash marketplace to unlock broker sales, the other is to use the trade chat. if you type /channellist in your chat window it should tell you the /number that corresponds to trade chat where you can sell items by listing them in the trade chat window.

Welcome to EQ2! When I started playing not so long ago, I was directed here:

    https://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/index.php?threads/share-your-latest-tips.3880/

This ^ thread is full of links to check out & great information for new players. The very kind & helpful community members have covered a ton of things & consolidated them here. New information is still being added to it. :)

EQ2 Maps is one of the first things I got for my game and it made a world of navigational difference. I definitely recommend it as well.

Almost all EQ2 UI mods are hosted at http://www.eq2interface.com/ including EQ2Maps at http://maps.eq2interface.com/index.php?action=download, DrumsUI (full, replacement for the standard UI) at http://www.eq2interface.com/downloads/info4961-DrumsUIFullInterface.html and the updater for the lastest version of ProfitUI (also replacement for the standard UI) at http://www.eq2interface.com/downloads/info4633-ProfitUIUpdater.html.

Drums and Profit seem to be the most popular replacement UI's, there are others, as well as individual UI components at EQ2 Interface.
