I am a pretty good crafter and have multiple toons at 110. However today, no matter what I tried, I failed at crafting an Ancient. All that was returned was the grandmaster. I lost the recipe (only 1 charge). lost 3 celestial Spellshards, all the common mats and of course the fuel. Why do I have a sudden urge to throttle one of the devs?
You might try putting in a support ticket asking oif they'd pretty please restore the stuff. I use a Potion of Innovation when I am crafting GMs or Ancients, myself.
I have only gotten 1 illegible page ever, so I don't even get to try. But I would definitely put in a ticket and ask pretty please return the items. I might also /bug it if you are supposed to get all that stuff back on a fail. I was failing at a lot of things, that I have been doing for quite some time with no issue, yesterday. Maybe it was just Fail Day, sort of like friendship day, bosses day, etc.
