    What does that have to do with Swashbucklers?
    Swashbucklers are not pirates!

    BTW the rats can have eye patches, I think they are the only ones.

    Aye I wanted a Ratongan Swashbuckler before I even knew they were the only ones with eyepatches. That just sealed the deal.

    Swashbuckler =/= Pirate

    However, most Pirates are considered Swashbucklers. Some examples of non-Pirate Swashbucklers are:

    Inigo Montoya (Princess Bride)
    The Musketeers (3 Musketeers)
    Zorro (Uh.....Zorro?)

    Surely there are more, in fact in most movies that the main character has a sword, they are portrayed as a Swashbuckler with a flamboyant style of fighting. Basically Swashbuckler = Swordsmen that shows off alot.

    They might not all have eyepatches (and personally I don't want one). However, they all have an Errol Flynn type Spiv 'tache and a withering wit:smileyvery-happy:

    if you went out and asked 100 people in real life if a swashbuckler was a pirate i bet at least 90 of them would say yes. Id say yes. I wouldnt go on about the technical defenition of a pirate/swashbuckler/musketeer/zorro. Why not just cut the contradiction and admit that swashbucklers are pirates :p

    id rather look like a pirate then zorro anyways.
