When I try to launch EQ2 from the launcher, the client seems to crash before even going into any of the splash screens. I get the popup window from Windows 7, with this problem signature: Problem Event Name: BEX Application Name: EverQuest2.exe Application Version: 1.0.0.1 Application Timestamp: 5054d64e Fault Module Name: StackHash_0a9e Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000 Exception Offset: 00000000 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Data: 00000008 OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 I have completely reinstalled the game to try and fix the issue, along with selectively deleting certain files (everquest2.exe and some .ini files, mentioned in another thread), but this has not corrected the problem. Any suggestions? Edit: I have no issue at all logging into Everquest 1 or DCUO from their respective launchers, if that matters at all.

I was going to give that a try but the installer tells me that I already have the latest directx version installed
