Hi there, I used to play EQ1 and EQ2 for years and years and I am looking to return. I am trying to download the free to play game and play that for a while and if it is still as fun as I remember, I can sign up to proper subscription. Probelm is, when I get past the login screen I just get the following message when I try to play. Unable to download Bad stream in http://eq2.patch.station.sony.com/patch/sha/eq2/eq2.sha.zs/ad/29f/<numbers deleted> I can ping the patch server from the cmd promp no problem. I have Windows 7 and a high spec PC. I have tried switching my router from normal mode to pure modem mode but the same thing keeps happening. Is there anything I can do to resolve this or are the gates to Norath barred and chained for me? I was quite looking forward to murdering some bats Any help greatly appreciated.
First, welcome back to EverQuest II, Phantom! Glad you were able to successfully connect to the game. I would definitely double check to make sure all antivirus/firewall programs have EverQuest II set as an exception. Please let us know if you have any more questions or issues.
