Chardok layout dungeon problem

I have recently decided to create a dungeon for a contest on maj'dul server. I decided on using the Chardok dungeon because for a very long time I have been using one as a storage dungeon for plants. I have created a new Chardok dungeon, placed items down that will be needed to create my dungeon design. I decided to tile my area so I saved the dungeon and loaded up jesdyr's layout editor. I opened the saved layout and selected the difference layout (as normal) and it says there is no difference. I thought maybe I made a mistake in my typing of the save macro so reviewed the macro and everything was fine with the macro. Ok, so I will just skip the "diff" file and load the first saved layout and move and resize the tile from there. However, despite the fact that I just placed over 100 items, the editor lists nothing. Hmmmm. A friend said maybe it is a corrupted dungeon so after a few trips with loaded bags I cleared and deleted the dungeon and created a new dungeon. Long story short.... same problem. So, I tried the new Open source layout editor... same problem. Then I went to a "Lair of Scale" dungeon that a friend made and saved a layout there. Loaded it in layout editor and it loaded the items fine. I moved an item in the friend's dungeon and it worked perfect when I loaded the dungeon in game. At this point, I thought I would go to the Chardok "plant depot" dungeon that I created a long time ago and save a layout for that one and move an item. It loaded fine in both the open source editor and Jesdyr's editor. I place a new item and tried again with the created dungeon and it showed the new item.

I have now created a new "lair of scale" dungeon called test dungeon, placed and item and saved the layout. I loaded this dungeon layout in both editors and it shows no items placed. At first I thought it was just the chardok dungeon or a newly created one after a certain date in time was the problem.

From the tests that I have done, it seems that any newly created dungeons are not saving properly.

Can you post the first 20 lines of the layout file including the header?

I was able to create a new dungeon, place a few items and load the saved layout into the editor. Unfortunately, your issue seems specific to your file or your items. Please share the file with us so we can review and correct any issues that may be present in the editors.

I hope I am understanding you correctly. I opened up the file saved in Saved house layouts into notepad, copied and pasted. In game I was getting "error: could not save file" If I had a layout editor open. But got around that by just opening the layout editor after saving the different layout files. However, I am getting the message mentioned when trying to load a difference. Also, when I just open the file it shows no items at all... filtered: Show All.
