The game starts then it show breifly in a dialog : "Can't find world skyfire" (something like that) Then the dialog says "Trying login server #1" and seems permanently stuck there. I tried today, and I remember some weeks ago it was the same. I did a fresh install of the game, it's streaming assets (currently folder at ~5GB). I can log in a level 8 Dirge on Thurgadin. I can't log in my most actively played characters level 90, and level 95 on Skyfire, and Maj'Dul respectively. yet those servers appear to be up. I'm in EU if that matters. Any ideas?
I vaguely remember something like that years ago, maybe the client assumes my characters are on a EU server ? I always played US servers.
Interestignly the EQ2 client / downloader app, if I go to "Advanced Tools", > Servers , it only lists "THURGADIN". Ahhh.. trying to switch the "Game Version" from EU English to US English... Not very intuitive is it.
Problem solved. Imho the client is broken. If the client lets me pick a character it knows is on "Skyfire", as it shows in the dropdown menu, and then can't log me in, then it should inform the user to switch the Game Version.
