Cant install or uninstall ever quest 2 : error, Unable to download SocketError:Unreachable - No data

Now I tried multiple thing to solve this anti virus other things i saw on the internet regarding this but non of them have worked i tried downloading it from steam which took a considerable while longer but even that did not solve this problem. I really want to play ever quest 2 again and iv installed it 5 different times over the past day or so. If any one could help me that would be greatly appreciated.

Oh its fine i talked to support and they were nice and all but they couldn't fix the problem and stuffs i ended up just playing for a bit on my friends computer and it brought back great memories but iv played farrrrrrrrrr better mmos like guild wars two final fantasy a realm reborn and star wars the old republic even runescape, wow and rift were better so play one of those insead.

This fixed it for me.

Click Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections Tab > LAN Settings > Uncheck anything under Proxy Server.

If you say say, having played all of those but FF (I don't care much for FF in any form *gasp* ), I'll stick to EQ2 =).

If anyone is getting that error it's the thing Nightlight UK just posted about proxy server. It's been a problem for a few people in the past. The CS folks maybe should put a sticky up at the top in the service forums.
