    Please report any CoV issues with as many details as you can think of in this thread *after* the launch of CoE. There are many CoV fixes going in with CoE, so please wait until after the expansion launches.

    Please Include:
    * Server
    * Characters involved
    * Were you CoVing TO or SUMMONING
    * Zones Involved
    * Error received (if any)
    * Last thing you did before the CoV (IE: Fought Venekor)
    * Any other info you think may be helpful.

    Main issue, it should work for everyone, better promoting grouping and keeping groups together. (eg. for group refresh scenarios, CoV can continue to work for non-adventure zones as well)

    Last night it seemed completely broke to me on Crushbone server. I couldn't summon any characters on my alt account at all. They would get the pop-up box. But when they clicked yes, nothing would happen. No error messages or anything.

    Are you guys testing using COV in raid situations? Seems like you can't use COV after you've killed a few things, and you can't use it after you have died yourself, unless you can feign death and stand back up and try it.

    I super highly recommend better error messages on COV. People grouse that COV never works, but I believe in many cases it's user error. A COV failure should state WHY it failed: can't use on an elevator, can't use on zone transport such as griffons), can't use while you are fighting, can't use because your target is fighting, etc. If the error returned more info about why the thing failed, people would catch a clue.

    What would really make this less painful is if the reuse timer only gets set on a successful summon. I know it would be exploitable then by just opening several CoVs before using the first easy solution to that would be to close all portals a character has opened as soon as you have clicked through the dialog to summon or port. Just only set the reuse on a successful summon or port. That way if I in example find out that I can't summon someone into nagafen's lair because they don't meet the entrence requirements I can at least call them in front of the door after exiting the zone.

    Did you try having both characters /camp to themselves and reclick the COV sparkly?

    As OP stated, wait until after the expansion since alot of the fixes are going in with that.

    The main fix I saw on the old forums was the bugged aggro check. This was the 'in combat' bug with CoV that had a fix ready to put in. This is the only bug I ever had with CoV (other than odd requirements like being on a moving platform, etc)

    If you had aggro on a mob, and then died, your aggro would be set to 0 but you were still on the mob's hate list. Then if the mob reset while you were dead, it would purge its hate list, but not for people with 0 aggro. When you then revived you were still on a phantom hate list (with 0 aggro) and so the game saw you as still in-combat. Thats why you could often log out/in or use some FD techniques to get around that bug.

    The functionality offered by CoV has been around since the game was developed. It's a scaled version of what GM's have the ability to do with a slash command. When the server hamsters get back to work and we can all logon I'll try what normally makes CoV fail for me and post it. Generally it deals with 1 character being in one instance (such as the Guildhall) trying to summon a character in another instance (such as Miragul's Phylactery: Scion of Ice) OR vice versa.

    Great point Faliz, but there have actually been a LOT of different reasons why COV failed. Because folks /bug these occasions, the number of issues with this ability has dropped several times. I am pretty sure this was just a frinedly reminder/request to use the /bug command so that we can help remove this from the buglist once and for all.

    Oh i would LOVE to see the official buglist...

    Oh I have more examples I can give when it fails me and other guild mates. I was simply posting the one I know fails for the most for us and will definitely follow-up on it. I think our heads would explode from seeing the official buglist, especially shortly after an expac release. lol

    Any other info you think may be helpful: All 'Charm (Optional)' and 'Mount' items of legendary or higher now require an unlocker. I'm hoping this is an oversight from the introduction of the new hover-graphic meant to show when an item needs unlocker/upgrade account and not an actual decision by Sony to exclude these items from being used on Silver Sub.

    * Characters involved: seems like every toon on my character is unable to use CoV. Am a gold subscriber
    * Were you CoVing TO or SUMMONING: Both traveling to a groupmember as summoning to me isn't working
    * Last thing you did before the CoV: ran around Qeynos/Antonica, updated my AA tabs, didn't do any fighting or questing
    * Any other info you think may be helpful. edited to add: after my groupie relogged I COULD CoV to him. Prior to relogging he had been questing in Otters Rest. He's also a gold subscriber.

    I couldn't CoV from guild hall to a guildie in Obol Plains. Got the message "you do not meet entrance requirements".
    He couldn't CoV me either.
    I had no problems zoning to OP from either the spire thingy in Jungle or taking a guild flag there, so obviously there is no actually issue with me accessing the zone.

    can we just get some type of combat clear ability? like make help clear/cancel/break/forfeit any and all combat/loot/actions/anything ?
    that would fix CoV along with other weird bugs that arise from time to time and frankly can't see any exploitable aspects other than being able to reset mobs when you're FD or are revived instead of having to take the wipe to avoid endless "deathloop" do to bugged agro.

    I'm unable to see ANY change to CoV since before the ExPack. It still can't be used after combat (to or from), still can't zone from GH to various zones.

    I'd love to be able to say "nice try" but I can't see one.

    Many thanks to Zoltaroth for trying to get the bugs worked out of CoV. But we're gonna have to help him track this down.

    He's listed exactly what he needs to know but so far, there have been zero posts that have given all the information that was asked for.

    When he asks for things like Characters involved, he's looking for the actual names of the characters.

    I've done my share of bug squashing in my years. One of the most frustrating things is not being able to consistently reproduce the bug you're trying to squash. He needs repeatable steps that always happens under the same circumstances. That way, he can reproduce the problem and look at what's going on to find out why. He can't fix it if he can't reproduce it.

    Char kokorobosoi was in gh, spent some time tradeskilling and a few broker transactions. Tried to cov to char cynnn whom had just logged in, in butcherblock docks. No fighting since log in on either toon. No questing since log in. No lag on servers. Tried again after cooldown by leaving gh and calling from docks, still no fighting or questing. Koko had tradeskilled previously..no error message just the portal which alowed you chose to trAvel or summon. Clicked travel, and nothin g. Left the toons alone for 5 minutes then used Bell. Splitpaw server
