Today, I have attempted to tame an insect, any insect, on the list of approved tamable insects, in various zones. Each one says that there are no tamable insects in range, and trying to tame them says they are ineligible. Insects are available starting at level 10. Steps: 1. Beastlord over level 10 2. Attempt to tame any of the following: a small emerald beetle, a massive emerald beetle, a marsh mauler, an oakmyst spider, a white spiderling, a swampflitter, a rot crawler, or a digger wasp (all the ones I tried).
Have you completed the Collective Minds quest? According to the quest guide on the wiki this is required to gain the ability to tame insects: 19. Speak to Thir'Slaa, the Broodwatcher to complete the quest and gain your ability to tame insect warders. Cheers, Oradim
