I can't find any way to add custom avatars either. And the base set doesn't even have every race/gender combo... Heck, one of Dexella's posts talk about the specifics for custom avatars.. but so far no way to actually use one
Go to your name up at the top of the forums, hover over it and a drop down menu appears, EDIT there are links for AVATAR and SIGNATURE just click the one you need to modify and have at it.

I had time to fool around with the EQ1 forums so I had some idea of where things were, I couldn't find it the first time either.
Give them a few days or something to get this all set up, my guess is you can't just flip a switch and have a forum completely setup.
Yes, you can, if proper time and work is put into it before flipping said switch. I've done it countless times. While there's always a few tweaks to be made, all the major setup should be done and tested before the doors are opened to the public. Once again, a shoddy performance and a rush to release, leaving we the end users disappointed and less than impressed. Did we really expect anything different?

Ditto on the request for more female avatars. It would be good to at least have a male/female choice from every Norrathian player-race if nothing else.
Definitely need at LEAST male/female selections for each race! My main is a female barbarian, but the only female avatar (at least, recognizably female) available is the HE. C'mon guys, give us some choices here!
