Ascension combos

Can we please get something more definitive when the ascension combos actually work? A text statement which gets lost in combat isn't helping. Maybe something like the heroic opportunities or at the very least something which is easily filtered.

Definitely would be nice. Last night when we were testing out some known combos, I couldn't even find the text message for them, nor did I see a noticeable difference on the parse that would let me know something happened.

Maybe when they become more widely known it will change to something like heroic opportunities. Heck, I'd even like it if the coop skill blinked. But then again, everyone tells me I'm playing the wrong game when I want things to be more fun.

Nice! So, they can be cast in either order but am I right to assume that it's always the 2nd one that gets the boost?

Correct.

Boosts are generally an extra hit (The same as you'd get for an ability double cast) in a different damage type.

Brittle Armour gives 2x the CM debuff. No idea what happens to Withering etc, not looked.

Semi dump question - second hit is simple replica of the first hit or it can crit independent for each hit (say legendary - fabled crit) etc?

Independent.

How close to the abilities have to land to each other to be considered a combo?

To me it looks to be around 5s base, 8s if you have the purple runes on. But thats very rough calculations.

I will add this-- If you do Septic Strike then Glacial Freeze it will surge Glacial Freeze and double strike Glacial Freeze with a nox attack--If you follow it up with another Septic Strike it will cause both Glacial freeze and Septic Strike to surge again and it will double strike again--2 elemental and 2 nox hits on 1 cast. Plus the 2nd Septic Strike will double strike.

I have some screenshots. I will run them down and post them. Someone should check some others and post some results.

Now if this was something that was already known forgive me for interjecting Or maybe it just bugged?

It might be worth the effort on some of the harder hitting ones. If it is supposed to work this way.

uhm, anyone know if is possible to create act trigger when someone in grp start casting an ascension spell?

Not unless they macro it in some way.

known Bugs :

• "Erosion II" blocks the cast of "Cascading Force" for the duration of the combat mitigation debuff on "Erosion II"
• "Ethershadow Assassin" was very often blocked by unknown other ascension
• "Levinbolt" was sometimes blocked by unknown other ascension
• "Levinbolt II" was sometimes blocked by unknown other ascension
• "Anti-Life" does not ending any of the combo starters as it should be

possible context between the "Ethershadow Assassin", "Levinbolt" and "Levinbolt II" problem and the "Anti-Life" problem ... but not sure

It would be very nice and certainly all players would be pleased, if this developer would look at the known bugs listed here and fix the problems with these ascensions.

I've just come back to the game since KA and I notice people are putting macros to say "surge XYZ" in group chat.
I assume that means they have just cast XYZ and you should do a combo.
But my question is if they are using an ACT script to see this and remind them.. if so.. please link

go to act, click the plugins tab, click get plugins and download the asc combo plugin
can recommend the synergy plugin too
