Per your website, the event "Are you ready for what's next" offers: October 11 – October 17 = Mount Training Drops Do these drop on Varsoon? If they do drop, are they bank clutter or can they be turned in for something else, perhaps a mount ? If they do not drop is Varsoon just excluded or is there a substitute event bonus ? Please let us know. Thanks in advance.
While I appreciate your response, the question was aimed to those at Daybreak that had verified answers, and not just speculation. My apologies for not being more specific.
It's not speculation, they already drop on Varsoon and they are not usable. Likewise with temp adorns and mercenary unlock tokens. The mount leveling mechanic is not available on Varsoon, and likely never will be.
anyone who has opened a cobalt crate can verify what's available, about 80% as in the items we both listed drop from the crates, and we cannot use them. you can use barding and research training.
The "gear up, level up" events are first and foremost designed for the players on the retail servers, not progression servers. Anything that Varsoon happens to get is just a side thing. [insert Oliver Twist workhouse meme]
and historically, they don't adjust event rewards much for the TLE's. which is a sad state of affairs, considering how much people spend on them. they could make crates/rewards that only drop items that work within the TLE's limits, that are ONLY available on them, but haven't tried to do so to date.
It's not a sad state of affairs at all. The TLE servers are a special event in and of themselves. GULU is specifically for getting people on live servers ready for the coming expansion.
they'd make even more money from crate buyers etc, if they adjusted a set that didn't have a lot of useless junk in them.
Actually they just need to have some TLE specific market items, but then they'd have to deal with people on live buying them and complaining. The less work approach is often taken.
