A Knights Tourney to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Knight of Freeport! When: Saturday, April 11, 2015 starting at 1pm MT (12 PT, 2 CT, 3 ET) Where: Knights of Freeport Training Isle (aka Arquenniel’s Isle of Refuge Prestige House). We will be making the Training Isle available through the housing leaderboards. Watch for announcements the day of the event. Details: Help us celebrate the Knights of Freeport 10th Anniversary!! KoF was found April 10, 2005 and we have been serving and protecting the Overlord and Freeport ever since. Please come out and enjoy this milestone celebration with us at our Knight’s Tourney! Events: Note all events will involve /ran 100. There will be no /duels. This eliminates the issue of levels. Joust: Mounted combatants wielding lances will run at one another in an attempt to unseat on another. Initial rounds will be double elimination. Semi-final and final rounds will be single elimination. Ranged: Contestants will step up to the line and show off their ranged skills. You may use anything ranged based weapon you want including bow and arrow, throwing weapons, bolts of magic, pie, battle bread, death by chocolate, fish… Initial rounds will be double elimination. Semi-final and final rounds will be single elimination. Pas d’Armes: Combatants will enter the fight ring for a combat tournament. This will be straight one on one weapon based fights. No magic – divine or arcane, no psionics, no gadgets. Initial rounds will be double elimination. Weapons include swords, maces, staves, warhammers, fistwraps, katars, etc. Semi-final and final rounds will be single elimination. Melee a’ Cheval: This is when the fun really amps up! What the heck is a Melee a’ Cheval? It is mounted team mock combat during which you not only fight your opponent, but you can capture and ransom the opposing team’s nobles!! The winner is the one with the most combatants on the field, tokens in their pocket, and nobles kidnapped!! What do I need to get in on this fun and exciting event? A team! You will need combatants and nobles. What if I don’t have a team? That is ok, we can make teams the day of if needed!! Feast and Bardic Event: When all the events are done, stay with us and party!! The Overlord’s Crown will be hosting the party on the Training Isle that evening. We will have plenty of food and drink for free!! Hopefully, some exciting performances!! Do keep in mind this is a Knights of Freeport event. We do ask that performances are appropriately Lucanic or at least not overtly anti-Lucanic. Only a Traitor to the Overlord would miss this event!
