Folks that want a 'non-True Box' server

When DBG launches dual servers one true box the other relaxed box the bot crew exploiters go to the true box server...EVERY TIME.

Do people legitimately think that playing on an old, dead server is a reasonable alternative to anything? Like are they genuinely wondering why people don't just play on Rizlona, or are they trolling? It almost has to be the latter. No way they have so few brain cells that they can't comprehend the difference between a new TLP and one that has been dead for years.

Every time anybody suggests anything at all, some genius always comes in with like, "why don't you just play on this old TLP from four cycles ago with probably fewer than 100 players on it?!" I have to assume they know how absolutely moronic that suggestion is and are posting in bad faith. It shouldn't be possible to be that unintelligent.

I never said True Box would not draw players....it just has no impact on WHAT YOU THINK IT DOES.

The bot crews are in full force on true box servers.

You do not see them like the days of Ragefire because not all are packed into a single version of a zone.,

Oakwynd is proof Bot crews still play on True Box rule sets.

So what's the argument?

True box sells the most subscriptions and that's what it's all about. Why would daybreak go away from that?

True box reduces subscriptions.

All your one player per computer join, all the bot crews join. Not all the two box players that play two accounts or three account so those players only use ONE account as opposed to two or three accounts on a true box server. That means FEWER accounts on a true box than a relaxed boxed because the other groups play either way.

If there is one server released...and it is true box it will have less subscriptions....but the same number of bot crews that is the part that flies over your head.

bot crews prefer true box because it gives them an advantage over the normal EQ player.

You want True box because without it YOU lose your advantage...you have made that quite clear.

The reason non-forum-warriors go to True box is to actually play the game and not beep-boop-bop.

If they relax truebox to 3 per PC starting at the beginning of the server... combined with Mischief-ish ruleset it will be by far the most popular server ever and you won't be able to log into it.

Mischief ruleset is the draw, not truebox.

Truebox has really been the only option, so there is not enough data to draw a conclusion. When it was Rizlona/Aradune, Rizlona ended up having the most population and biggest longevity. Almost specifically BECAUSE of the obtuse 2 char limit rule.

Your lack of demonstrable ability to understand what other people are posting is proof positive of your emotional, and irrational stance. It isn't data driven, for sure.

Aradune was MUCH more popular than Rizlona.

Even now, Rizlona is begging anyone they can type to for a merge to Aradune.

Before truebox , TLPs were a train wreck.

Lack of AOC and Pick zone has more to do with the trainwreckiness of the old school progression servers.

Did you play on Rizlona? Do you have actual experience to present or only anecdotal evidence? There were very few issues 1 to 3 character players had to deal with on Rizlona caused by box armies. I witnessed it all firsthand. AOC and Pickzone solved most issues.

The difference was /pick zones...the bot crews were on both servers and on Oakwynd they had their own /pick...

To try and claim otherwise has been proven false by a number of different people here.

True box had virtually ZERO impact it only made a few boxers use a second machine to box. nothing more.

Wrong.

• getting false positive truebox disconnects when boxing according to their rules
• energy and heat from unnecessarily running multiple laptops
• And yes, having to group with certain types of judgemental players or be dependent on groups if we don't want to deal with above issues with boxing.
• The newer servers have more population and allow for the freedom of more guilds to join for a given play style or time window.

Its like somehow if they start enough threads and just repeatedly post in all of them, it'll somehow fool DB into thinking everyone hates true boxing.
