If you are finally driven to ignore someone in the forums, does it ignore entire threads they may start too? I have never used this feature and was just wondering.
It hides posts they make, but if its in a thread your watching, and they post in there, its just a line that says something about this user is ignored. Its worth doing for what your looking for. Youll like it.
For ignore to actually ignore the other poster you have to be signed into the forums. If your not signed in you will see their posts. It ignores what they post. On any post.
To add, it does show you that there is something from a blocked user in a thread, and provides a link to see it, for that thread only.
Yes, if they start a new thread, you won't see it. Also, if someone quotes them in a reply, you won't see the quote, but just the other user's reply. Can be pretty confusing til you figure out what's happening. Though, generally, based on the reply, you can often tell who they're replying to
If you have a reply in a thread of started by someone you ignored, you won't see the thread unless there are replies quoting your reply and then it will only be in your notices.
What about a see more button. So if you ignore someone it just hides everything and thats that. You have the option to see more. So you know what your missing and it doesn't show you what they say unless you click see more. something something let me tell you why (...see more) boom 10 paragraphs appear outta nowhere.
