Test Update 02/13/2024 - New Bugs Only

Every time I zone or login, my mercs HP drop to 70%. I noticed it after this patch (2/13). The patch on 2/16 did not fix it. Merc health drops to 70% when I zone or when I first login.

Did that include nerfing the Emberclaw sisters quest? There was no note of this in the patch notes, but it was closed as "not a bug" when reported.

They've already marked the nerfing of The Emberclaw Sisters AA reward as not a bug, so it is intended.

The lack of patch notes is disturbing, yet all too common. It is beyond my understanding why changes often are not in the patch notes. There's no reason the patch notes can't be a few pages longer to cover all changes made, rather than just the seemingly random ones that are picked.

If they are nerfing a quest because it gives to much of a reward why would they advertise that fact beforehand and encourage more people to run it before it is fixed? As the patch notes are put up on test first there will be cases from time to time that they don't want to announce before the patch is done on live.

And the number one answer: They can put things in the Live patch notes that are not in the Test server patch notes. It seems that the reduction in the quest XP wasn't even happening on Test, at least I saw no reports of it.

Sure it wasn't a secret but that doesn't mean everyone realized how much it was giving and was doing that quest every chance they had. If they make an announcement that they are going to nerf the xp on the quest it is likely that a lot of people are going to rush to get as much xp as they can from it before the nerf goes in which they likely want to avoid.

Again, it can not be in the Test server patch notes and still be in the Live server patch notes.

And it doesn't need to be either, they leave things off the patch notes all the time for various reasons and they are not the only game to do that.

They could have no patch notes at all, if we want to go there.

Sure if you want to take the slippery slope route and suggest that them not including every change in a patch could/should be extended to removing all patch notes.

There will always be things that don't make the patch notes for various reasons such purposely excluding them or just simply forgetting to include them.

Would it be nice if this nerf was in the patch notes? Sure, but it isn't a major deal that it wasn't.
